Mainstream in Korea not so much outside of the country. If you're looking for a good monster movie, this is it. It has some comedy mixed into it too and I found that hilarious as well.
Probably posted in this thread again, but I'll post it again. This movie is more of a cult classic than something mainstream.
I second Black Dynamite. It's a homage to the blaxploitation films of the 1960s-1970s. You don't need to be drunk or high to laugh at this. Here's an example:

A seriously good movie (about an hour and a half long) going over the beginning, and the first 7 movies of pixar: Toy Story, A Bugs Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars. If you love these movies and the movies that pixar makes, its a serious must watch.

Just watched and I liked it just was a tad depressing sometimes lol
Yea it is. However, I think that's the goal of any movie. It's supposed to engage your emotions so you in turn are engaged by the movie. I watched the whole thing from start to end without interruption. That's how good it is in my view.
The movie is more about the growth of the main character as opposed to the kick ass fight scene, or the sad love story.
Definitely still recommend this movie to anybody.

i recently saw stalker and i have to say this movie is great.although the action is slow making the movie kinda static if you get into it you wont even notice as time flies by.needs good attention. after this i decided to see solaris (the same director) and all i have to say is: hail tarkovsky
One must feel chaos within, to give birth to a dancing star.
Good thing people mention some fine movies for a change in this otherwise ironic thread.
Tarkovskys finest masterpiece in my opinion.
Also unrelated, but was surprisingly good in my opinion, I didn't like Babel at all, this one was a lot more down to earth melodrama.
I'm taking whatever coverage I can get, because frankly, I'm busy working on this million dollar deal at my job. Early retirement is a good thing brotha man. - MessengerASL

I found Stalker to be incredibly boring. It's like 2.5 hours of Russian philosophy mixed in with long walks through the middle of no where.
I liked Oldboy, and really liked Attack the Gas Station. Oldboy is pretty weird, but good. Definitely reccomend Attack the Gas Station, it's pretty funny.
Sunshine sucked, reccomend not seeing that.
