As far as I've understood it, this Kespa corporation won't have anything to do with Starcraft II, if so, it's all for the best.
A lifetime ban means they will not be able to play SC2 professionally either. They will also find it difficult to do something else since they are for the most part, uneducated and now have the stigma of a high profile criminal case. KeSPA will undoubtedly be around for SC2 in one form or another, so yes, it matters. If I were them, I'd leave Korea and try to start a normal life elsewhere.
It doesn't help to move when you can't speak any language other than korean and North Korea is obviously not an option.
There are Korean communities all over the world where the majority of people don't speak the native language well or at all. I know plenty of Koreans here in NYC that don't speak any English whatsoever beyond "Hello" "Goodbye" and "Thank you." I don't think the language barrier is anywhere near as big of an issue as you would make it seem. Japan, Mexico, USA, Argentina, etc. Plenty of places where you can go with Korean communities. |
