| Does anyone know a way to accomplish this without having the mouse cursor move out of the window? I would really like to be able to play and see other items on my desktop at the same time and be able to keep the mouse cursor in the window unless i alt-tab out. Is this possible? Or does anyone know if its a feature that will be implemented by launch? |

I play in Fullscreen Windowed Mode, that way Alt Tabbing takes like .5 second instead of 10 seconds.
Otherwise you need to do what FC. mentionned. |

| There is a mode in sc2 for that. it work pretty much the same way as it is in WoW. I don't remember the exact name for it, but you can change to it in the video section of your option bar. |

Hmm, if there is that'd be pretty cool. Maybe I just missed it.
If somebody manages to find that option, you might want to let Day[9] know since he's been drag scrolling in windowed mode lately. |

I have played like this since I got into the beta as I have 2 monitors, usually I keep msn/winamp/chrome etc on the other window while I'm playing - and interestingly like HoN, SC2 lets the mouse move out of the window while in the lobby, however once I go into a game it restricts it.
I'm not sure if it's something I've changed, or if it's just natural to the program, but as far as I remember I don't remember 'ticking a box' to turn it on. I'll have a look and check. |

That's actually a hack which uses 3rd party software to restrict the mouse to a certain box.
But if Blizzard added in the correct functionality, you don't actually need to do that. I don't remember them adding such functionality, but other people seem to have found it a long time ago.
Guess I wasn't looking hard enough >.< |

It's the program somewhere on that site, auto hotkey. I haven't personally used the script, so use at your own discretion.
I'd probably just wait and see if any of these folks can find that tick box that I've managed to miss - that'd be like 50x easier. |

| Playing with a window smaller than your screen will not be fun b/c scrolling up and down is a pain (have to move mouse to the edge of the window and keep it there) |

| I'm pretty sure there's an argument you can pass to SC2 to make it restrict the mouse when windowed. I don't recall what it is though, I'll look around. |

| I play in full screen windowed mode with a dual monitor setup and do not have issues with cursor moving off screen in-game. It only moves off-screen in the menus, which isn't a problem. |

Definitely recommend using windowed (fullscreen), especially if you dual monitor. However, since this was something I did in War3 which had no windowed fullscreen mode, and I had to add -windowed to the startup code, I use a program called Cursor Lock, which is available at http://download.cnet.com/Cursor-Lock/3000-2072_4-10767852.html
You can set hotkeys for lock/unlock to current window etc., and it will automatically break the lock if you do something like hit the windows key or alt tab out. Works awesome for dual monitors
