An artist's rendition.
My hopes were high as I logged on to Teamliquid.net. I could almost see a herd of beautiful white ponies plowing gracefully across the top of my screen. Assaulted by a myriad of blinding shades of blue, I stumbled happily to the comfort and safety of my blog. All was right in the world.
High hopes!
I took a swig out of my trusty canteen to steel my nerves. As I have mentioned previously, the Starcraft 2 Strategy Forum can be a scary place. But, a brave and intrepid explorer laughs in the face of fear. For it is actually quite silly looking. With a steady hand, I clicked on the red and menacing link labeled "Starcraft 2 Strategy."
It's called the Forum Index. Yes, it actually exists.
Right before my very eyes, the comforting and happy shades of blue melted into a wall of obtrusive and nonsensical text. Undeterred at this paltry warning, I proceeded to click on the most fascinating title.
An intriguing and thought-provoking question...
I stumbled headfirst into this cave of Thinkers. It was dark and quiet, eerily so. But I could hear some muttered voices in the distance. So I moseyed on a bit closer. The voices grew louder, as did the beating of my anxious heart. And then I saw them.
These men are hard at work.
Huddled around a stone table, they sat, all with a single elbow atop the table and chin nestled comfortably on closed fist, simply thinking and muttering amongst themselves. At the head sat the illustrious head theorycrafter, the great LolnoobInsanity. As I slipped in, a few heads turned, but they quickly went back to their urgent matters-at-hand.
Just lil 'ol me.
I pulled my brand new notebook and pencil out of my backpack, put on my smart people glasses, settled onto a nearby rock, and listened with all my might to the wonderfully insightful wisdom these creatures imparted.
I know that Mothership sucks or whatever, but if for some reason you did happen to get one, (and who knows, maybe someone will find a way to use one effectively in the future), how useful do you think vortexing the mineral line of a base would be?
storm drop >>>>>>>>>>>>> this
I'm thinking that it may be more viable to storm mineral line an then recall your Templars as you would axtually kill the workers and potentially not lose any units or have to worry about outrunning Vikings or whatever in your warp prism. Also you could do this repetitively as it just xosts energy
Probably better to vortex his ramp and recall into his base?
well obviously any strategy that involves like 800 energy will be greater than a strategy that involves 400. (i think those are the energy requirements?)
As more and more of these inquisitive creatures filed in, their chattering became more and more heated. Some even lifted their chins off of their closed fists. But little did they know, a deadly hunter had been on their trail, and had followed them straight into their den...
The fearsome hunter approaches.
Suddenly, all hell broke lose as the hunter unleashed pure liquid Kilkenny fury upon the poor and startled creatures. Scared shitless, I scrambled and crawled and stumbled out of the cave as fast as my heavily booted feet would take me. Back in the comfort and safety of my blog, and heart still pounding, I took a look back at the carnage. Raging moderator flames consumed that mysterious cave, and screams were heard from within. I covered my ears and looked away.
Something less than or approximately equal to this magnitude.
And so ends a sad and terrifying expedition. I think it's safe to say that I won't be doing any more exploring in the near future...
