I'm not seeing how the MSI board lags behind in that review. Can you point it out specifically?
Edit: Eh if you're specifically talking about SATA performance, I wouldn't worry too much about that.Last edit: 2012-06-09 02:46:53 |

Sata, POST, USB, Lan, ect.
Edit: In almost all of the comparison graphs the extreme4 outscores the GD65.Last edit: 2012-06-09 04:52:48 |

a quick question- what CPU should I buy for plainly playing sc2/diablo3/dota2? I do not plan on overclocking.
i5 2500 or 3570? the price isn't really an issue, I just don't want to overkill. does it relate to the motherboard i'm using at all? |

It just depends on how much extra work you want to do. i5-2500 if you have a h61/h67/p67/z68 motherboard and i5-3570 if you have a h77/b75/z75/z77 motherboard. |

Yes however the first time you stress test your computer your PSU will explode. Any case that comes with a PSU, the PSU is beyond horrible. Also where are you ordering from? |

I'm not sure. The max amount of ram I've ever used at one time was ~2.5GB. If you want you can get 8GB of ram but I don't see it helping you stream. |

When looking at memory to buy for my build - some of them have a 1.65 V and others have 1.5V and one of the reviewers on Newegg said that his processor didn't work w/ a 1.65 V and he had to dial it down to 1.5V. How can I tell what voltage my processor is compatible with? These are the memory sticks I was looking at:1.65V 1.5V Tentative Processor |

Pretty simple 1.65v RAM is horrible. Just buy the 1.5v RAM. |

My PC isn't sending any signals to my monitor :/ I boot up the pc and the lights are flashing, and I hear the windows 7 boot up noises from my speakers- but no image, the monitor says No DVI signal or w/e. No idea what to do.. :/ Maybe something to do with a failed shutdown? the night before this happened (yesterday) i kinda just pressed the power on/off button in the front panel and once i saw the on/off light go off i just let it be. Related??

Is your monitor plugged in? Your DVI connections could be loose.
To test if your GPU is bad, plug your monitor into the dvi slot on the motherboard. Then turn it on, you should get a picture.
Edit: NVM about testing, you have the ONLY Motherboard made that doesn't have integraded graphics... I didn't even know that they made P61 boards before now.Last edit: 2012-06-09 15:36:28 |

Nope, DVI connections are all secure. should;ve included that in the OP. |

We'll you could clear your CMOS. Its my only idea. I had to do that multiple times to get a signal when installing w7 because my brother kept screwing up the boot sequence. |

All clearing the CMOS will do is reset your boot sequence, reset time/date. It should do nothing...
Open up your case. Next to a battery below your GPU will be a button. Press it after hitting the off switch on your PSU. |
