Most overpowered unit in a game??/

Shadowpriests on lvl ~40-50 after release... I could go 1 on 2-4 in open PvP (there was no Anti-Fear trinket, scaling wasn't an Issue, you were just the *master* class :D)... Best time i ever had in WoW, Stranglethorn ftw :D.

That was their only time to shine though because once you hit 50 you'd get roflstomped by Rogues because stuns didn't have diminishing returns.

Shadowpriests were pretty much king at level 40-50 from beta all the way until wrath came out.

Grey elven wizards in ADOM. It's not exactly game breaking, but it's easy mode compared to every other race/class combo in the game.

GE wiz dies too easily within first few levels to really call it easy imo... 1 trap can do you in. Compare to a good barbarian for example, it's easy to close the gate with barbarian on my first try without killing 1 PC.

Master of Magic - Sky Dragons, Magic Immune, Illusion Immune, Lightning Breath?

alternately, Paladins, Hammerhands and Halfling Slingers.

FFT - Anything with 100 brave and blade grasp.

FF4, 6, 7 and others - Phoenix Down on anything undead.
