LAN Party EH is gearing up for our second annual Starcraft tournament event at Anime Evolution! Anime Evolution 2010 will be taking place from August 13th to 15th and will be held at the University of British Columbia, Canada. The three day convention will draw well over 5,000 attendees.
Sign ups for the tournament will be taken up until the tournament qualifying rounds begin. The tournament itself will be held inside the gaming plaza starting at 7 PM on August 14th and at Noon on August 15th. There are a limited number of seats and it is encouraged that competitors sign up as soon as possible.
Guests are welcome and encouraged to spectate the event. There will be a number of announcers and a huge screen to watch the games as they are performed live!
Bringing a computer is not required for the tournament but recommended if you wish to practice on site or participate in the on-going LAN PARTY.

While the tournament itself is free of charge, it will be taking place at Anime Evolution 2010, which does have an entry fee. We recommend the 3 day convention pass which will run you at $55.
Is the convention worth the price? I would answer with a resounding YES. Anime Evolution is a massive geek/gaming convention, and I can say that alongside the Starcraft Tournament, the rest of the convention is very enjoyable if you decide to attend. Lots of hot chicks in cosplay, industry panels, live bands and comedy shows, even a 4chan panel if you're into that.
Nintu, one of our quarter finalists of 2009 from Team Liquid wrote up a blog post of his experiences from last year if you want to get a glimpse of what the convention is about first hand: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=95403
