I was reading through the old funny Idra quotes, and I saw this gem of wisdom from the early beta that looks a whole lot like today's grievances:

rush to obs and warpgates once you know they arent proxy raxing. the combination lets you come out ahead vs anything, if theyre rushing hard you charge out a couple of immortals, along with warp gate units, and then get to collosus, if theyre teching you can expand and then pick a unit path that counters their tech, if they expand you can double expand. given that you're always gonna end up with an early game advantage playing like that its just a matter of macroing well.

its best to rely on collosus to deal heavy damage since they take the least damage from emp. always have sentries with every group of units and put up shield before engaging. put your units on at least 3 different mixed hotkey groups and spread them out. really if terran isnt allining theyre not going to be able to be aggressive vs collosus/chargelot/sentry/stalker for a long ass time, just abuse that fact and by the time they do have a respectable force you can have 4 bases 2 robos and 10 warpgates.
terran should not ever win the matchup without getting lucky or having something stupid happen early.

If only Idra didn't switch to zerg, I wonder if the game would be different if Terrans had his balance opinions on their side the whole time

He'll probably be very happy He has mentioned the difficulty of scouting a lot. The extra queen range will be nice for defending early timings/pushes - hellions, etc. It will be easier to micro against marines too.

it wasnt just the flamers, if you watched pretty mcuh any pro stream before they could block messages youd see there entire bottom of the screem packed with people trying to take to them so its as mcuh the fans as haters, probably more the fans

ForGG and Ret are two that I saw for sure they don't block messages.
ForGG received couple during stream and ret was getting many too and no one seems to complain.
However both of these guys have positive reputation throughout the whole community.

well i dont know why they dont block, but how many of them do you see them actually respond to?

because trust me, every pro who streamed literally had so many messages it was impossible to have a conversation with anyone it doesnt matter your reputation was matters is every single viewer you had was trying to contact you to try and talk to you

what your probably seeing on there stream is friends not everyone

ForGG might not block if hes on Korea since theres alot less crazy fanboys on Korea but on NA you had to block it maybe its gotten better since pretty mcuh everyone just assumes it wont get through

You have to consider, though, that Idra's fanclub is orders of magnitudes larger than both of theirs combined. It doesn't matter what the messages say, receiving that many is irritating for anyone.
Average means I'm better than half of you.

ForGG does not block on NA server just like Ret. When he played IdrA he received couple messages from random people, not from his friends because I don't assume "Go ForGG" or "Crush that noob" are something his Koreans would come up with on NA servers.

It's not about whether they respond or not but it is always a nice cheerful boost for players.

A Mutalisk for IdrA - The Cheerful of a lifetime

Fellow Grackheads. We all come to this sacred thread every day to bask in the glory that is Gregory "IdrA" Fields, be it fangirling cheering or cursing we are all united in our fandom. And never has our fandom been more important. Greg's recent loss to + Show Spoiler + hurt us all, but it was obvious that Greg was the one hurting the most, staring wordlessly in to the score screen.

Our overseer needs us, and lets not dissapoint him.

Inspired from A Zergling for Jaedong, the IdrA fanclub is now taking on its own project. The concept is simple. We want every IdrA fan to create a little something for IdrA. It could be anything. It could be fanart (skill is not a factor), a supportive letter, a gift, ect. What you make is not an issue, all that matters is that you made it.

Method: Well first you need to make something. Be sure to put your heart and soul into this. But, how are you going to get it to me?

  • Mail: If you live in the US (and I suppose Canada/Mexico too), send me your gift to this address:

    + Show Spoiler +

!Important! Please take a picture or scan your gift to IdrA before sending it to me. It would be so unfortunate if the package would get lost/arrive too late/ect.

  • Email: If you live overseas, don't be discouraged! While IdrA might not get your gift in it's physical form, he can still get a copy. If you can scan your document (fanart/letter), do so and email it! If you can take a picture of whatever you're making, do so and email it!

    + Show Spoiler +

  • Donations: But sometimes a scanned document isn't enough. We'll be doing a mini-donation drive (via PayPal) to assist in this project. With the money collected, we as a fanclub will decide what to buy for IdrA. If you want me to specifically order something with your money instead of going into the collective route, just PM me or message me on skype (wholegrn).

    + Show Spoiler +

!Important! If you're donating, please at least make a short letter or something for IdrA. We don't want to just throw money at him, we also want to throw love!

Also, we have a skype chat group going on for this project, so if you want to join in, add me on skype (wholegrn), and I'll add you to the group. Nothing important is being discussed there, but it is useful for quick questions. And why not? We might use it more as we discuss what to do with the donations too.

Deadlines: Deadlines won't be super strict, but make it easier for me and get your stuff in on time. If you miss the deadline, there is not guarantee that your stuff will get to IdrA.
  • Mail & Email: May 24th CDT
  • Donations: May 21th CDT

UPDATE: We got some potentially good news that is pushing back this deadline...except we aren't sure when the "new deadline" is. It could be in 3 days, or it could be much longer. So since we're pass the deadlines, there is no guarantee that your letter will be sent, but just know to write it ASAP.

Closing Words:
All I have to say is that I'm really impressed at all of the support that you guys are giving this project. If this succeeds, it will prove that we're not just a fanclub, we're something much bigger. Tell your friends who have any shed of respect for IdrA to help contribute. Even simple letters of encouragement will help. But most importantly, remember that this is for IdrA. He has been preforming bad recently. He needs this. He needs to know that we still support him 100%. We may discuss his flaws and be critical of him, but at the end of the day, we look up to him.

If you have any questions, email, PM, or message me on skype (wholegrn).

it was alot worse before blizz implemented the ability to block, i guess that its jsut not as bad now but if IdrA removed the block and people figured out there would be so many people trying to talk to him it would be impossible for him to even read 1/10th of them when blizz first let you jsut block all non-friends there was alot of rejoicing

I absolutely agree with you in IdrA case. He would get flamed and overspammed way too much.

He would win if he played seriously some of them.
Not splitting units, random careless losing of infestors, or neuraling the hell out of thors.
I don't think Idra plays sloppy because in all those games he showed brilliant moments of flanking or timings, doing lots of damage and getting ahead.
Maybe I'm wrong but he did not take the games vs forgg 100% seriously or he just simply tried to see what works out or what does not work out. Some players do really care about winning on ladders vs particular individuals.
