SC2 Client Relocalization [Change SC2 Language]

I have written some scripts to "relocalize" a Starcraft II installation to work in an unsupported region.
Not everything has been relocalized. Map names, Achievements, Ladder Divisions and Types, Races, and some components of the Single Player Campaign are among the parts undone. Multi-player, however, is 99% localized.

DISCLAIMER: This is a 3rd party tool. It does modify data files. It could screw something up. I can't make any promises to the safety of your install or your battle.net account. You have been warned.

Starcraft 2 Installers
You can download any Starcraft 2 version from the Battle.net Pre-Download page:

Otherwise, you can download the installer via your preferred Bittorrent using the .torrent files included in the Blizzard Downloaders:

Instructions:

Step 1: Download Utility

Step 2: Extract
Extract file into Starcraft II/Support/ of a patched up to date Starcraft 2 installation of the language you wish to use. You should now have a folder called "GSCRelocalizer-v0.15"

Step 3: Run Script
Run "relocalizer.bat".

If you only have one language installed and have not used the tool yet, choose "Relocalize a locale" (Option 1) for your mode. If you have multiple locales already installed (by running the Relocalizer or manually copying the locale files from another install) you may choose "Switch between installed locales" (Option 2) to quickly switch between them.

Your Source Language is the INSTALLED language you wish to relocalize for another region.
Example: If you want to use the English (US) client on the Latin American servers, choose "enUS"

Your Target Language is a language in the region in which you wish to play. Since not everything is relocalized yet, if your region has multiple languages listed, choose the language you prefer for non-English content.
Example: If you want to use the English (US) client on the Latin American servers, choose "ptBR" or "esMX".

This is a bit of an extreme solution (so only use it if you wait a long time and no one sends you that file) but couldn't you make a korean account and download the korean client then? Obviously without buying the korean version, but you should be able to install the game.

Also, I don't know if there's currently any ways of getting guest passes apart from friends, but I wouldn't be surprised since WoW has free trials and all.

this is cool, but kind of pointless

you're still going to need to purchase more copies of the game to be able to log into more than one server. i guess its useful for big tourneys and stuff where people are willing to share keys with top players and stuff but outside of that...

Thank you VERY MUCH for doing this.
I really can't stand SC2 in portuguese or anything wich isn't english.. feels really fake.

If you still need portuguese guest keys or Base.SC2Data I can provide you a Key now and the files later (since I'm at work now).

I played 1 game in LA and closed the game swearing to never again go there because of them.

Yes, NA hotkeys will work just fine.

If you want to play in Spanish, with just the US hotkeys, I could write an easy patch for that as well...

That's not entirely true. The game does have languages options (and for EU especially, they are numerous), but the language options for the Latin America region are only Portuguese and Spanish. If you live in the EU, South East Asia, or the US, English is a valid language option.

Hotkeys will make the game playable, the translation isnt THAT bad, but id rather play in the full NA client. Again, if you want beta testers, i'm in. I'm a coder, so i could even take a look myself :D

Hey scout, did you ever figure out how to access NA from the KR client? Finished campaign now and I'm anxiously waiting to ladder lol. Pretty much just want to be able to access NA from the KR client without changing language or font.

If you could e-mail me your Mods\Liberty.SC2Mod\koKR.SC2Data file, I would be happy to get right on that...

Also, as a reminder, you will need a valid NA account to play in NA, no matter what client you end up using...
