I think 3rd and 4rth rax are a bit later due to Refinery on 21 so there might be a very critical phase and this might not work against many enemy BOs. | ||

i do something like this in tvp or tvz 9rax 10supply you can build a rax and supply at the BOTTOM of most ramps to make complete wall (denies scouting straight up) 11orbital 11marine (or marine before orbital if you want to snipe overlords) build 2 more marines, on 16 move scv to expo on 400mins build command center build supply build bunker at expo (usually at the choke at your ramp) build 2nd rax build 1-2 refineries (depends on your build) build 1-2 more bunkers during this from there i usually get something like marauders and or hellions (tvp/tvz) or just more marines in bunkers against like 4gate immortal | ||

TvT It's unplayable against a decent Terran, cuz he'll just Tankpush you. TvZ Because you don't have any AoE, it's extremely difficult to defend against Speedlings and or banelings. You need to build a lot of bunkers and wall-in above the ramp, so they can't run by without being blocked and shot at. It's possible, but IMHO too unstable, especially on smaller maps. TvP I like this Build for TvP the best, because rines in Bunkers do well against a standard gateway-army, although 4-gate-pushes can be hard to deal with, so you need lots of bunkers and good scouting. The biggest Problem against Protoss is, that if the Protoss doesn't play standard, you're in trouble. Even with perfect scouting, he could be hiding either a starport or a dark shrine and against VR's, you just need Vikings, but against DT's, you'd need Turrets or Ravens. All of that is pretty hard to get soon enough in this particular BO, which makes this build just not as solid against Protoss as 1/1/1... | ||

And rines do fairly well against few VR's that aren't charged up, but If the Protoss waits until he has 2-3 VR's and charges them up somewhere, your marines will just melt away. Maybe Turrets with Range-Upgrade + tons of Marines could work... It would also defend well against DT's, Phoenix, Observers, Prisms etc. Damn - I just hate those VR's, totally force Terran into playing Starport very early if you want to play it safe... -.-° | ||

Against VR's...the marines can do well w/ enough micro. As for DT's...eh, save scans or get the Ghost out quickly after getting refineries [emp]. | ||
