Although it is not entirely official, Don Cheadle, who portrayed Rhodey in Iron Man 2, might make an appearance in The Avengers. There is also talks of trying to get an actress to play Wasp, which was rumored to be Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), but turned out to be false. I believe that there is no news on whether or not Ant Man will be in this. As some of you guys noticed, Edward Norton, who played Bruce Banner in the latest "The Incredible Hulk", will not be coming back for this movie. The reason is because he was "a troublemaker and an actor who does not work well with others".
Anyone else excited for this? I've been waiting for this since they first announced that it was in the making. The problem is that the cast and director are highly under pressure because of the anticipation of the movie. I just hope it just comes okay and not overly bad.

makes me wonder how are they going to divide screentimes if there are like, so many 'super-heroes'
heres to hoping for another epic 2hr+ movie!~
The animated Avengers movies did it quite effectively. Since every character already has their movie, they do not need to be introduced to the audience, so it's a convenience there. I'm 100% confident that this movie will be completely mindblowing!
Ehh the Captain America art looks a little.. weird? I guess its the lack of wings/ears on the head. I also wish they had the scaled blue armor instead of it just being blue cloth lol.

The Avengers usually combat alien forces. In one of the animated movies they fought against the chitari or however u spell it. I forgot the other one, but they were aliens as well.

I'm not a huge comic fan, but I don't remember Captain America wearing a utility belt. And as ArvickHero mentioned earlier, the absence of wings does"weirds" the costume, sort of.
But I guess they can do whatever they want with the characters since Nick Fury is portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson. All props to Mr. Jackson, I think he's a good actor, but I thought he mimicked too much of his "Shaft" routine into Nick Fury in Iron Man.

Wait, didn't Cpt. America live in the 40s or 50s? During WWII and Korean War? And didn't Ironman find his shield unused? How is he able to be in this movie?
I'm confused.

The rumor is that The Avengers will be fighting The Skrulls, but there's a chance of other villains from other movies being in it (I.E. Loki, Whiplash, Red Skull, etc).

The shield that Stark found in the movie is most likely a prototype that his father created for Captain America. Captain America was caught in a bomb explosion aboard a plane, but the the impact caused him to fall off. He landed in the icy ocean, but instead of freezing to death, the super soldier fluid caused him to be frozen since it prevented crystallization of his bodily fluid.

Actually it was the otherway around dumbass... I'd go look for the source but Its there google it. Just seems a little logical to research something before making such a bold statement...

No, it's not. Marvel Studios stated that Norton was hard to work with during the filming of the latest Hulk movie. To make the filming easier in The Avengers, they replaced him with someone else.
