It wasn't that difficult, it might take a few tries.
Use Plasma+Drones for the carrier boss level and leviathan boss level. You can farm additional points from the carrier boss by just killing interceptors over and over. Once you have +2 plasma and 2 bots make sure to get bombs only. After you beat leviathan and get to the terran level you should get +2 side missiles. Shortly after you kill the 2 battlecruisiers you should switch back to +2 plasma for terratron. If you're good you won't have to use 3-4 bombs to beat him but you can use 3-4 bombs and not lose any drones and it's pretty easy when using bombs. Repeat. |

I got that achievement just by playing the game over and over i think it took me 3 days playing it for 1-2 hours each day.
BUT THEN i realized that i had to do the entire storyline again to get some of the achievements like the one that says finish the game in less than 8 hours, and so i just stopped thinking about campaign achievements. |

| Lost Viking Gold is the only campaign achievement I haven't got. It would be really easy if I had a macro to spam the fire button but all the available macros seem to be windows only and I don't know how to go about it on the mac. |

| wtf macro button ? just play the game 10-20 times and you got it. After a few tries you'll start noticing patterns etc. I thought at first "Holy shit dude I can't do this" but an hour later I had it. |

| i struggled with this one the most by far. just spam the attack button and learn the patterns. each level is the same when you play it the next time around so eventually you should get the hang of it. |

What a lot may not know is that you fire much faster if you spam spacebar (or the attack key). If you hold it, it fires really slowly.
Personally I've always used the Plasma Torpedoes + Drones all throughout the game. If you have trouble with a boss, save bombs and use them on that boss (though don't use them on the Carrier boss if you can since it's the easiest of the 3). |

Lost Viking and Raid night achievs are the only ones I'm missing and the only ones I don't care to get. I suck at Lost Viking and tbh I don't want to grind the campaign after beating it on brutal. I already proved I am teh single player 1337.
But then again, maybe I just suck at lost viking so I'm spiteful of it ^^ |

It's possible to check every achievement and Feat of Strength that exist by looking at the MPQ files (look for the icons) or by going to the galaxy editor and opening the respective map in the campaign to look for any hidden achievements (look in the triggers section). Any mac users annoyed by having to press space, I whipped up a tiny program to spam it for you. Start up lost viking, hit pause, then run my program cstroker. The entire C code is this:

| Incredibly easy achievement. Couldn't pass the carrier when I first played it. Got autohotkey to spam spacebar for me. Got the Gold achievement on the next try. It just takes a while which is annoying. |

My thumb was so sore after playing this... 
It's really easy once you get in a rhythm imo... once I lost a drone, it seems like i was struggling to get back in the game for some reason. |

Staying on ship (not doing missions) doesnt count for achievement hurry it's raid night, so you can continue with your effort ... |

The lost viking achievements are easy. The only hard achievement is the starjeweled insane victory.
And then then I guess 1000 wins for 1v1/2v2 each race could be considered hard. But that's mostly just time and patience. You could technically drop down to bronze and win games easily, and just auto leave every other game to keep you down low.Last edit: 2011-06-17 07:05:30 |

| Done it on the second try. At first it was hard for me untill I realized I can just spamclick space instead of holding it down to boost the fire speed, then it was all easy, haven't lost a single life thru the second run. Was using plasmas and drones. |
