| The oldest still running graphical rpg. It's actually a decent game though I don't like the way they are going with it. It used to be excellent a few years ago. Now it's still decent, just a bit too easy in every respect. Soon they're planning to add flash gfx so they will get a small update. |

Is it still aweosme? (everyone can kill everyone and items drop?) i wish WoW would be like that, id play it.
Tibia was so fucking hardcore, so much griefing and shit, was really a badass game |

100 druid, 90 paladin; started when they added edron, ended up quitting for warcraft.
To those who haven't played it; the game isn't bad, but isn't going to wow you with any particular strength. However, it has a lot of everything, and is very sandbox-y (medieval EVE).
To those who play; The following ruined the game for me, in order of importance
1) Cheaters
2) 'Racism' and lack of english-speaking community
3) Degregation of game mechanics over time, with poor fixes
I really enjoy the game, the open-endedness of it brings great times, and a surprisingly high skillcap (depending on class) gives the game depth. The game's support is unfortunately lacking, in both rule enforcement and development. Chief of all is the cheating - if you don't cheat, you can't keep up. Good community can still salvage the game from these problems, but the fleeting english speaking community (combined with the inability to effectively* transfer servers) put the final nail in the coffin for tibia players.

I used to love this game, but I never got higher than 40 or so - shit is time consuming as fuck.
IRL friend managed to level up an elite warrior to 186, it took him like 2 years. |

| Oh man I used to play this way back. I remember when you had to individually aim each spell at a target (players gain speed with level and have items to boost speed more, so playing a spellcaster at high levels was a bitch). It was quite fun for a while. The open PvP system was pretty brutal though and so was the death penalty. Later on some of its features became more refined but the community was just ruined with hordes of dickhead Brazilians that would often kill you just for speaking English. |
