First of all I don't want to post about balance/imbalance of ZvT, I don't see it but I suck, so my voice doesn't matter.
However....
For all of you who wait for the patch "soon", ask your friends who play WOW to tell you what how long blizzard takes to patch bugs/imbalance  http://www.wowwiki.com/Soon is famous and even used as a joke by blizzard comunite managers on forum. Community screams? Protests? Emo? No way! Blizzard has it's own schedule.
I realize that SC2 esport is larger then wow (tournament money wise), but playing wow for a long time I cannot believe Blizzard will change something just because someone well know in community, hell even large group of players, go emo. It already happened in WOW, if you don't believe me, ask your friends. They will change something only when they will think it IS wrong and they have proof of that in hard numbers. |

Orc aren't overpowered, other races just haven't realized they can press space to make units fly. But I have a serious question for all ya'll TLER's. I hear that in Korea/Asia Zerg is actually the dominant race now and I know from previous threads that that's partly why Zerg got so many nerfs in Beta. So is it just in NA/Europe that Zerg's are doing bad, or is Asia starting to slump to? And the most important question:Why is it different?
Nope, Korean zergs are getting some heavy beating. In a very recent SC2 event (GOMtv Star2Gather), Zerg scored the least. This event involved some of the very best like Cool and Check (though I secretly think Check is very over rated :D) Korea too, is flooding with Protoss now that it can do very decent against the other two races. Check said himself that it's very depressing and he loses a lot to both T's and P's. Garimto's WTA #2 is also full of P and full of all-in's

| I understand what hes saying and its his decision if he wants to switch or not but I think he should wait a little longer. In the beginning of beta zerg was dominating and then terrans got tons of buffs so now theya re dominating. Im pretty sure blizzard will fix the balance soon enough so dimaga should just be patient. |

APM isn't the issue. Just because 1 player spams between hotkeys more then another doesn't make him a better player. Zerg has to deal with the timings and when to make what.

Reminds me of when Grubby was depressed about the Orcs and wanted to change race.

This is really depressing.
as a Zerg player since Early March, the steady decline of Zerg since Late Phase 1 is finally reaching rock bottom rather soon, myself, play about 10 diamond ladder games a day, and am currently one of the only Zergs in my top 25. Sometimes I feel like giving up, but I watch players like Dimaga and they keep me going.

were the roaches nerfed at this time? Id say toss is UP vs phase 1 beta terran (mauraders had concussive right away, etc)/zerg (roaches). |

Who the hell come up with the idea of Zerg doing well in Korea? please post sources/links/replays. And not those, where Check plays with a bunch of nonames.
They were doing well back in the beginning of phase 1. before roach nerf and everything else. |

i've been watching trump's stream the past couple weeks and I just laugh every time he plays against a zerg. He literally 1a's his way to victory almost every game. He usually has to deal with simple muta harass, but after his thors and tanks / mm ball come out, its almost sad how easy it is. People scream over and over than the way to beat T is to harass them to death, but really, the comparative apm and overall game management required between Z and T is insane.
If dimaga does switch to T and is successful at it, it will be one of those sad but funny moments as he can now 1a his way to victory.Last edit: 2010-08-15 04:57:53 |
