Just for clarification. I enjoy SC2 more than LoL. I am just simply stating my take on why LoL gets more viewers than SC2.
Also to add, there was a pretty famous guy named Grackis in LoL. He used racial slurs, lost his casting job and barely can reach 50 viewers now. His career in e-sports is pretty much done. Orb got off easy.Last edit: 2012-03-15 12:12:44 |

I've played about 20 games of LoL and I've heard the n-word in literally every single game (yes I did count) The SC2 community is fucking Bambi compared to the LoL community in terms of language, racism, and general manner I mean honestly if a LoL caster called someone an n-word in a non-streamed game nobody would even bat an eye let alone start a thousand post thread as a response

When will people realize these words only have the power we imbue them with, whatever happened to "sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me"?
Saying that one word taken out of context has more power than another is patently ridiculous. Orb, along with most people who used racially tinged explicates are not racists, just venting frustration by rebuking social standards of our day and time, and is NO BIG DEAL.
I'm glad that it seems no one on SOTG took the fiasco too seriously and to me this will be remembered as hasty, unremarkable, inadvisable decision in EG's already pained 2nd year of SC2 |

The same thing would happen in the SC2 community, as is obvious from the orb situation. The only person close to using the word is Destiny, but even he doesnt use the word just defends his right to use it.
