Basically, 90-9-1 rule states that in a forum like TL (or reddit for that matter), 90% are lurkers and never post, 9% post a bit and 1% are responsible for the majority of posts/content.
Now I don't know how proven said rule is, nor do I really care. The point is that, on the internet, a small minority can be extremely vocal. When you look at this thread there is an unusual amount of complaining, mostly done by the same people and mostly about the same thing over and over. I don't believe the whining in this thread is representative of the feelings of most sotg listeners. |
