How did you come out of the Brood War community and act like this? I really am not that much into e-culture (I just dont agree with a lot of its norms), more following common sense as much as possible. I am just a fan of Brood War who has followed all of you, and you Nony for many, many years. It saddens me to see this. The qualification is competency and he's said that Avilo is just as incompetent as us, and supplies our results as evidence for that assessment, and then says he doesn't want Avilo on the show. How does that not lead to not wanting us on the show either and anyone with worse results than us? |

I say stop doing the show period. Ya it's good, ya its funny and informative and I definitely get that theres a "vocal minority" of idiots here. But at what point is enough enough? All the guys doing the show get so much flak on forums for the dumbest stuff I have ever seen from people who don't have a grasp on reality. No one should expect someone trying to do something good for the community to take constant abuse over stupid crap like this.
Just stop doing the show. Maybe comeback when the people who actually like the show in the forum start stepping up and making sure that their voices are louder in the forums then this pathetic "vocal minority".

Are you referencing Nony as really bad? He was basically the best foreigner protoss in broodwar and while he doesn't practice nowadays his game knowledge and talent is unquestioned. Incontrol is a similar story, but to a lesser extent.

I know Nony qualified and so did Avilo... but did Incontrol? And last time I watched Nony's stream, he was losing to mid master ranked no-name players, and he finished the season 28th in his league. That's mid-masters. Of course it really doesn't matter, but barring Avilo - who finished #1 in his league - from the show because he's not "competent" is obviously stupid. There are several reasons not to have Avilo on the show, but his skill is not one of them
You tell people to watch my stream to see my skill level and league placement but anyone who watches my stream knows which account I played most of last season on, an account which was #1 in its division. Your bullshit is becoming more apparent. |

again, it's not about wanting anybody off the show, it's about acknowledging the fact that if skill is supposed to be a criteria to be on the show, then Avilo is good enough to be a guest. But obviously, Avilo's skill is not the issue here...

that wasn't my qualification. I was replying to a person who said that Avilo wasn't a "competent terran" and therefore should not be on the show. If one was to follow that logic, you, Day9, Incontrol, Artosis, JP and so on should not be on the show - because if Avilo isn't competent going by results, then neither are the majority of the people on the show.
I certainly don't think competency is important to be on the show at all, I'm just attempting to put things in perspective. I'm sure there are other reasons not to have Avilo on the show - like how he is obviously disliked by certain co-hosts/guests or whatever

That's mid-masters. Of course it really doesn't matter, but barring Avilo - who finished #1 in his league - from the show because he's not "competent" is obviously stupid. There are several reasons not to have Avilo on the show, but his skill is not one of them
You tell people to watch my stream to see my skill level and league placement but anyone who watches my stream knows which account I played most of last season on, an account which was #1 in its division. Your bullshit is becoming more apparent.

How did you come out of the Brood War community and act like this? I understand that the SC2 community is a fucking joke and very hostile compared to the good old Brood War one, where you were respected but again, most people were. I wonder if you were the same during your long stay in prestigious ToT. Such a shame. I will most likely be perm-banned for that. I know it's coming but it's fine, really.
