Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion.

For regular posters, don't quote the trolls.

Now you know six! Nice to meet you.

How do I know if I'm a top or a bottom? Are there people who are both equally? Does it spell doom for me if I'm only really attracted to muscular, fit men?

You don't know if you're a top or a bottom until you try both. More than a few times.

There are many people who are versatile. You're normal.

It does not spell doom for you if you're only attracted to really muscular fit men, though it may mean that you will need to be willing to achieve that physique yourself, since many of those types of guys are picky about that kind of thing.

How old are you?

Though I must say that it was a bit disturbing to read some of the more vulgar posts by you. I am not objecting to gays having sex or anything. But lines as the ones about anal sex just weren't pleasant to read. What you do in the bedroom and what you enjoy doesn't bother me as long as you don't go in to detail about.

Someone asked him about it, you didn't have to read it. =P

A question for all the fellow gays in this thread, what race do you play? Me: Zerg. <3
I am a tournament organizazer.

I've heard some word buzzing around that roughly 50% of gay men are also ninjas. If this is true, do you have any evidence you can provide?

Edit* I will shamefully admit that while I am not homophobic, I do discriminate against ninjas.

This is actually really funny, as i not uncommonly call myself a ninja to many of my close friends.

My body occasionally does a spasm of brilliance where i accomplish something that does not seem possible for me to accomplish. It's in these moments that i refer to myself as a ninja.

Yeah Montreal is really liberal, that's where the fetish scene and likely the gay scene is centered in Canada. I'm no Canadian, but I'm updated enough. Lots of cool stuff going on in Montreal - events, parties and just general nightlife and culture, pretty much like most bigger capitols really. London is also quite liberal, at least parts of it - same with Berlin.

Hey Mora, why does it seem like gay people are hypersexual? Maybe I'm just a bit timid in regards to sexual matters but in my experience it seems like gay people talk about and engage in sexual acts more than non-gay people...
In this thread it seems like a majority of questions are sexual in nature, perhaps due to the curiosity of non-gay people about being gay?
I dunno if I'm articulating my idea correctly but I hope you can see what I'm trying to ask.

Zerg! Though I sport the merc profile pic because he's the best looking.

BTW I think we should show off the "Back Door" achievement in the showcase of our profiles. Seems fitting to me.

I find Vancouver to be pretty liberal. i can walk anywhere downtown holding another man's hand without getting verbally assaulted.

weed was decriminalized at one point. and you can smoke it in the amsterdam cafe on hastings street.

Montreal and Toronto are pretty liberal too from what i hear. The rest of Canada might not be, but those 3 cities have roughly a good 3rd of the popultion of Canada. lol

Toronto is very liberal in the gay sense, we've got church street where there's a large gay community(i always love the irony). Also we have the pride parade that's sometime around june 16th I think every year. I heard once long ago that a huge chunk of the population of toronto was gay, forget how much though.

Mora pretty awesome post, as a fellow gay guy I was toying around with a similar post myself. I would like to say thank you for following it up with a plethora of really good points.

But Mora, I'm in college now - how do you approach the dating scene? (outside of gay-only areas) I guess you have to really have a lot of love for and faith in yourself. There is something so incredibly terrifying about seeing someone you think is attractive and not knowing if there is a potential if he is bi/gay. Compounded by the fact I find masculinity extremely attractive, its a trap!

Perhaps this fear is just a fear of rejection. No one I would find attractive would be offended if I asked if they were gay, because to be offended would turn me off to them.

But there's gotta be a better way then "Yo, I'm gay. You gay?"

Do you find you ask directly or trying to find out in other ways? Maybe there is an advantage to never actually asking, lol.

And I think this goes for all sexualities really cause I'd imagine that no one really wants to hear all the details about someones sex life for different reasons of course. But anyways was a nice read and I happy that you were so open about it and answered that many questions. Good luck with both Starcraft and your real life man

Thanks for reading through the informative bits, and coping with the more vulgar pieces.

I am known for being blunt, crass, and vulgar, both in real life and on the internet. However, in real life i have smaller audiences and can properly conform to the crowd i am speaking.

On the internet i do not have that luxury, so i'm 100% me all the time.

Thanks for giving me the props despite the ugly details.

Cheers to you.

i have some questions:

not all gays do this, but the few I know always seem to insist on "acting" gay. the pronounced lisp, the high pitched voice, the female speech mannerisms. I would like to know why. If being gay can be loosely divided into 3 parts -- emotional, biological and cultural -- why do so many insist on such a forced and kinda weird culture?

second is, and i'm only asking this because I've experienced it and seen some of my friends go through it, but do you sometimes find yourself actively recruiting a straight guy to turn gay if you're into him?

Third is, how realistic is that initial sex scene in brokeback mountain. Is there really that kind of like rough physical foreplay and then... one guy sticks his ass up? haha i always thought that was kinda scene was kinda funny, they're all fighting each other and then the guy initiating suddenly sticks his butt up to "force" heath into him. i ono.

Wow I didn't realize it was this tough for a gay dude to fit into society. (especially at this age)
Meh, I live 10 minutes away from West Hollywood so I guess I'm used to seeing liberated gays.

Oh, silly me I forgot about Vancouver. yeah it's definitely the most liberal place by far. I've been there visiting family, the Amsterdam cafe is indeed sweet. and there's a "drug hotline" you can call and they'll deliver you weed lol, my sister showed me it.

\anyways don't want to derail the thread, but yeah just wanted to point out that Canada is still really conservative, mainly our Government.. i can't stand them, watching them on Question Period is like watching Fox News pundits

honestly it's sooo hard to meet gay people unless it's a gay-specific area.

That's why i joined a gay soccer league. honestly the best decision of my adult social life i've ever made.

Check out local university book clubs or events or just gay clubs or something. Really cool gay people also volunteer for a lot of stuff - maybe check out gay volunteer groups if you're into that kind of work.

The bar isn't the best place to meet people, but other than that, i have no advice other than the above.

I have pretty good gaydar so i now frequently will meet people everywhere (grocery store, street, shopping, whatever), but i also live in Vancouver which has a pretty large gay community.

gl to you! it's tough!
