Where did you hear this? I didn't realize they'd allow transfers to the more populated/full servers. I'm trying to get friends who just started to play with me on Jagged.

been messing with the settings a bunch. fps is good except when im in combat. i've noticed that skill detail seems to effect it drastically. if im attacking a minion pack and i use cyclone it drops from 90 to 35-40ish. It also does not seem fluid when a monster's corpse disperses into that red smoke stuff. It seems strange to me that you'd such a good GPU to handle it. Player distance and etc doesn't really effect the fps too much considering what my i5 can handle. However, apparently a GTX 570 isn't up to maxing the game.
edit: looks like skill effects isn't really messing with the fps. frankly, its just combat that seems to slow down.
edi2: i could be wrong, but setting lurid display lower seems to fix it..sometimes its hard to tell. im at this temple of dagon place and i think its loading the levels underground which may a variable.
edit3: meh. i turn random shit completely down and it has no effect. lurid, skill and shadow and it still slows down in combat.Last edit: 2012-05-04 07:20:58 |

Try grouping with a sorc at level 50+. Their spells fuck my framerate so bad. I go from 60 to easily 20 in a dungeon when they start launching their spells. |

hey peeps. wonder if anyone's interested in buying a TERA EU account? i just got it yesterday but realised i wont be able to play (going to korea n shiz) i got it pretty cheap, like 29 pounds so i'm willing to let it go cheap too. it still has 29 days game time on it. Anyone that played Guild Wars 2 weekend beta and Tera? Is the style of combat similar or are their still some key differences? The only reason I haven't bought it yet is due the monthly fee.
The characters of Tera look adorable  That's what caught my interest. |

Very different.
In GW2 you don't have to aim and can cast while moving, in TERA you have to aim and are locked in place during your casting animations (similar to most fighting games, once you've pushed that button there's no way back).
I personally prefer TERA. |

| After much testing of the sliders and ini, it seems the lightning enrichment (or AA i guess?) is what makes the fps drop during combat from 80-100s to 30-40s. its a bit jarring but not nearly close to unplayable. |

So where are the majority of TL'ers playing? Valley of the Titans? Im going to make a character on there so i hope im right. Thought id give this game a try for a month, I really like the idea of being able to use a controller and play it from bed on my big screen :D (which is connected to my computer and then i have 2 monitors connected at my desk)
And who do i get in contact with about a guild invite? |

| hmm so just reading up on stuff now, what is with these chronoscrolls? Could people in theory play without ever paying for the game? Are the scrolls expensive? And would I have to pay for an initial month before actually being able to play tera, make gold, buy chrono scrolls with gold to extend my game time, and so on and so forth? Would be keen. |

Until level 60 the only thng you can do with them is consume them for a stronger battle cry stun. |

Having serious dilemma about starting this game. On one hand, I really really wanted to play it, but on the other, Diablo 3 is coming out, so I definitely won't have time to play this after D3 is out, as more of my friends will be playing that (and I myself had been hyped up about it for years as well). So it would be a real waste to get Tera and only play it for a week.
Is anyone else on the same boat as me? What are you guy's thoughts about it. It's almost like Blizzard deliberately made the D3 release timing to screw Tera =( |
