| I don't know really since I havent played Ktera but I have gone up against Lancers that have done hard mode and its like a nonstop pull fest the moment I really open up on damage. I would figure that the first batch of Lancers to complete the most difficult content in the game know what they are doing. |

Depending on internal modifiers and shit, I could see warrior unintentionally being a bitch to DPS with without ripping.
Do other classes have the same problem? Or other DPS warriors? |

Im pretty sure other warriors are just herpaderping doing shit damage. Other classes have threat issues as well but nowhere as severe as mine. I posted on enmasse forums, maybe someone from Ktera has information I dont know about, like hidden threat dumps on a certain ability.
Honestly I am just posting out of frustration at the moment because a couple of the bosses especially hard modes have some pretty tight DPS requirements or wipe, and Im stuck doing B level damage because my boss are always facing me which cuts my shit in half or a third. Ive even ran with some of the groups doing the hard modes and the other DPS (Warrior is supposed to be dead last on DPS ability, maybe archer is not as good) sometimes pull but its not anywhere as often as mine. These Lancers are like my best shot on the server at having fun and I still have to herpaderp stand around a lot.
If you watched me play you would be so frustrated cuz you can spot oodles of damage and tiem going to complete waste because I have to stop everything.
It would be like watching Flash play for 30 seconds and then taking a 30 second break and losing but only barely.Last edit: 2012-05-12 13:26:49 |

Heh. Luckily I enjoy tanking. Once I get there, I'll be hoping to have that exact problem.
Honestly, though, I think a lot of it is overcompensated threat modifiers, as a result of shitty warriors trying to tank. Because thinking about it, I was holding aggro in BoL with my little AoE high threat to pull, followed by nothing but avoiding incoming damage and basic combo attacks for increased mobility. So it might well be an issue that too much threat is hardwired into the abilities, and too little into the stance.
Makes sense with my more limited observations.
And I know one of the people who was DPSing for me there, he was my one of my right hand types back when I was raid leading progression ICC back in the day, so if I was keeping aggro off him that way, it wasn't just a fluke. |

Well only torrent of blows and charging slash and the taunt have threat modifiers as well as defensive stance.
I personally LOVE tanking but not with Assault stance and not with a lancer in the group if you know what I mean. |

Yeah, I got you. Nothing worse than being the unintended offtank.
Well, there's some worse things. Like not having FRAPs running the time I pulled a (bad) group through a Lady Deathwhisper kill when 6 people died to the adds before the shield dropped. We finished the fight anyways, with just me tanking, a druid healing, and 2 DPS. Although I must say, rotating taunts to try and hold aggro for 10 minutes with a 100% threat debuff, and my DPS having to run away any time taunts were on CD was just a little entertaining, to say the least.
We figured since the group let us down so hard, they could wait it out. No reason to wipe intentionally. And when we realized nobody was recording that shit, I almost cried. |

"Might pull" is an understatement here. And I said in a diff post Im working with pretty close to the best on the server.

Medrea, you should try stacking 4x boss damage instead of crit modifiers, it should help you at least a little bit in dmg / aggro efficiency. I'm having the same problem and it certainly is pretty frustrating.

| So, I turned titles on around lvl 8, turned out I was a high warlord, all of sudden it's gone since this morning, just logged in, no lvls gained or anything, gone it was. I haven't looked at my titles since picking up Bacon Lover. Can't imagine ever wanting to change that one. |

yeah i have problems with threat as a slayer. like, to maximise my dps i'm using two crit modifier crystals, a +crit crystal and the +power proc crystal. the problem being that when i do crit the boss just turns around and tries to kill me, so i end up just swapping in some mana regen gems just to tone it down, but then it's not as fun to dps  |
