Played the beta and I must say that I'm not very impressed. The combat system and arcade style might be new to westeners but I have played dozens of similar, better, MMOs in Asia. I'd probably play it nevertheless since the max. level vids from Korea seem to be pretty interesting but I just can't and won't affort the montly subscription fee.
Edit: I have to add, that I played TerA beta years ago in Korea and at that time it was pretty cool since I was getting tired of LineAge even wrote an article about it. But 6 years later? Come on it's outdated, there are far better MMOs. If those shitty publishers wouldn't have ruined Aion, we would all be playing the #1 MMO in Korea right now.Last edit: 2012-03-17 02:08:43 |

Well if you watch gameplay videos of GW2 you can see more than tab 123 tab123.
Combat in GW2 is a mix between terra and standard target lock actually.
Skills go off regardless of where you're standing in relation to the enemy, so you need to move in range and hit them while facing them up or you will miss.
You can dodge like in Tera, although its not a hitbox system like Tera
You need to aim ranged skills either through the ground via HoN/DotA/LoL or aim it straight ahead to hit people. |

Just because you don't manually aim everything in GW doesn't mean it's not "skill based'. It's definitely not tab go through rotation tab rinse repeat. Please play GW1. You don't aim anything in that game yet it's 100% skill. |

It won't be as skill based as Tera but probably more then WoW lol. Really wish I was in this beta weekend, guess I have to wait a couple weeks  |

I played Sorcerer for CBT4 and loved it. Will probably change it up and play Lancer for CBT5.
This game is very, very fun compared to your standard play-while-eating-and-talking-on-the-phone-in-25-man-heroics MMOs. You actually have to pay attention and there is much more skill involved.
It starts out a little slow, but once you start to get more abilities/glyphs etc it becomes much more fun. Not that I'm someone that cares about graphics that much, but I will also say this game is very pretty. |

Doing a dungeon with a bunch of fails (while also being one) results in failure no matter how good your gear is.

the only thing lolzy is the fact that you are wrong and he is right. tera is one of the few mmos that places a heavy emphasis skill and not just on gear. |
