+ Show Spoiler + We know: The hybrids created by Duran/Narud, who is somehow subservient to the Dark Voice, are an abomination, forceably splicing Zerg and Protoss. However, the Xel'naga created Protoss and Zerg from both of which to be reborn (although the Protoss cannot be infested by the Zerg, according to current lore.) The Dark Voice perverted this plan by corrupting the Zerg with an overriding directive to destroy the Protoss. The Zerg killed most of the Xel'naga before they had the chance to react. Theory: The Zerg cannot violently infest the Protoss, but the Protoss can willingly undergo infestation by a different method, similar to how Templar can merge to become Archons. No one knows this, because no Protoss has ever desired to be infested or merge with Zerg. The Xel'naga designed Protoss and Zerg to merge to reproduce the Xel'naga. The current hybrids are a corrupted version of this, unnaturally forced, but a natural merger of them will create a new Xel'naga, beginning the cycle again. Further Theory: Having seen the true nature of the Zerg (which is only evil because of the Dark Voice's corruption,) Zeratul will be the first to undergo this voluntary Protoss-Zerg merger, forming a new Xel'naga, and these new Xel'naga will be the key to defeating the Hybrids and the Dark Voice.

This is probably it. I've spent some time on the starcraft wikia and read some of the additional lore concerning the original plan of the Xel'Naga. EDIT: ADDED SPOILER TAGS + Show Spoiler + They indeed explained the Xel'Naga intended for the Zerg and Protoss to merge from which new Xel'Naga could be born (their own cycle was coming to an end). Duran/Narud/Dark Voice/Fallen One however corrupted their plans by corrupting the Zerg with an additional all over-riding directive to assimilate the Protoss (in the wrong/corrupt way). Tassadar mentions this in Echoes of the Future. This is where the Hybrids are born from. The "Further Theory" section is still speculation as far as I know, but this is the gist of it.

This is likely more interesting than whatever comes of the second storyline.

Maybe Valerian was under the impression the artifact would kill her, not turn her all doe eyed and rescueable. Also, what's stopping the Dominion from packing up the artifact and going on a xenocidal campaign to wipe out the zerg/ capture the rest for hybrid making and securing the Dominion as the last true super power. I think it was stephen Hawkings that said "I don't care how one dimensional you make a character, according the them, they are the centre of the universe"... I just wanna see Mengsk mix things up... A LOT because I love his character and I love his voice actor

Entire game is about her regaining power and control of the swarm. She knew she had lost, so the "KEEP GOING RAYNOR, DON'T GIVE UP" was a trick to make Raynor think the artifact would revert her back to how she was before she was infested, and therefore trust her and let her live. In reality, she's still the same conniving queen bitch we saw in BW. ...at least hopefully. The "Keep Going Raynor, Don't Give Up" was not Kerrigan. It was indeed the Dark Voice himself. The Dark Voices main motive is to have Kerrigan killed or dethroned from her ability to control the swarm because she posses a threat to him completing his task in merging the protoss and zerg together. Her psychic abilities are strong enough to withstand the dark voices persuasion unlike the Zerg Cerabrates. And from what I heard, the Heart of The Swarm has to do with Kerrigans "Second in Command" who's an infested terran and ex drug lord taking over the swarm.

Eh, I doubt that very much. It's been stated in the lore that the Xel'Naga are pacifists by nature. That's why they chose to imprison, rather than destroy, the source of the Dark Voice, as well as why the Zerg were able to destroy them without resistance. Granted, that was the last generation of Xel'Naga; it could be that the next will be more militant, if the cycle is indeed completed.

Then, I think this guy will make an apperance - Probably roflstomping the terrans as he does it Oh, hai! I'm the Fallen One (The Dark Voice) - Yes, this is actually how he looks like. Pic is from editor with improved lighting. I think the hybrids will come with him and dominate everything. Zeratul will make an apperance and tell Sarah and Jim that the fight against The Fallen One cannot be won without the Zerg. Reluctantly, Sarah takes on the task of taking back control of the zerg which will be the primary goal of the campaign. There will probably be a new overmind (Warped by The Fallen One) which Sarah needs to fight. In the final fight, to slay the overmind, Sarah must give up her humanity to rule the Zerg once again which will result in a heartbreaking farewell between Sarah and Jim. Just my 2 cents..

keep that in mind I think Raynor will start using the zerg against the dominion with kerrigans help, just like that dominion used the zerg.

What the Protoss never had before was an insta win button. And I seriously doubt the Dominion is just gonna let Kerrigan go unpunished. Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the forces you used in 'All In' Dominion troops assisted by Raynor's tactical genius? Kerrigan may be de-infested/Xel'Naga and Jim may get to bask in a moment of redemption but the Dominion hold all the cards now. The Zerg are gone and the Dominion have the biggest guns.... Maybe Warfield and Valerian will join Raynor in a full out revolt, overthrow the Dominion, establish Valerian as the new emporer, then after all the Terrans are resting, Kerrigan will strike and assassinate General Duke *cough* Warfield....

I think Tassadar is dead, in the human sense. Not much is know about how the khala works - I'm guessing that what Zeratul saw was just a kind of "mental image" of him.
