I use a very bright monitor, and I would like to know if there is to make forcefields appear more visibly while playing on low.

Wasn't the op asking about low shader settings?

Wasn't the op asking about low shader settings? Everything looks identical as it does on low. The only difference(that I've noticed) is this tweak makes forcefields much more visible.

anyhow, these settings drastically improve forcefield visibility and was mentioned in some other thread. I haven't seen any comparisons of cloaked units though, as simplifiedCloaking=0 seems to suggest. It always bugs me slightly when i watch streams of strong players playing on low shaders but without the changes made to FF.

Wasn't the op asking about low shader settings? Nope, "medium" shaders includes stuff like normal maps that simplifiedShaders doesn't. (Screenshot.) The only difference I could find is with your own cloaked units. Ordinarily on low settings they're not blue at all. + Show Spoiler + With simplifiedShaders=0, they're slightly blue. + Show Spoiler + With simplifiedShaders=0 and simplifiedCloaking=0, they're very blue. + Show Spoiler +

Keep those toss handicapped hehehehe using logic: 1) Fungal Growth can't be seen with that setting. 2) All players can be affected by Fungal Growth. 3) Thus, from 1 & 2, all players cannot see Fungal Growth on that setting. Tell me again how it handicaps Protoss players any more than Zerg or Terran. In all seriousness, the picture comparisons are fantastic!

I have not played since the new patch and it messed up my graphics putting them on ultra. Now the game keeps changing simplifiedCloaking and simplifiedShaders to =1 for some reason. Cant get it to work TT
