Ramp vs Ramp? I know that Kibler centers his deck around Werewolves but what's the Brazilian's deck? |

Same deck. I think there might be slight differences in the sideboard. |

Not only are Kibler and da Rosa playing the same deck with the same sideboard, they're from the same team and train with each other.
Edit: there's a one card different in sideboardsLast edit: 2012-02-13 10:35:01 |

You have 2 HEXPROOF spirits and lethal with both of them dead anyway. What on God's earth are you playing around by not blocking?
Seriously, I am disappoint.
Finals was a mirror so it wasn't all that fun to watch, but there were definitely some epic games there.Last edit: 2012-02-13 13:49:40 |

He explained why he didn't block by twitter, he wouldn't have lethal next turn, they weren't hexproof he knew about kiblers combust and kiblers galvanic, no way was drogskol staying down.
Of course in retrospect he wishes he would have blocked, but he was correct for playing around Inferno Titan and not 3x galvanic. By not blocking, even if kibler casts infero titan, he has lethal on the board killing kibler and winning the game now. Giving kibler less time to draw outs etc..
The ramp mirror in the finals was super boring..

He knew kibler had combust for captain and then inferno titan would win the game. Drawing inferno titan is much more likely than running galvanic blasts. |

| I liked Finkel's deck a lot. Almost makes me want to play that version of Delver. |

I wonder, and the answer is probably no, if there is any room for targeted removal in that deck. Obviously, this isn't the meta-dream for Doomblade, but against Wolf Run, it's still nice to have that option. Dismember might be good enough, it deals with the Huntsmaster but there must have been atleast one or two situations where good ol' fashioned Terror-style spell would have been nice. |

| Slip isn't a terrible choice in that deck. Still not good, but not terrible either. Last edit: 2012-02-14 08:30:26 |

I like Slip but it gives WRR a chance to play around it. I'm not all that familiar with the lines of play, since I don't play either deck, but let's say you resolve a Primeval Titan against a hand with Tragic Slip, worst case scenario is 4 lands and 3 points of damage, isn't it?
I dunno. I guess that fits perfectly into "not good, but not terrible." |
