Anybody else love this game?
It is super intense. You upgrade income and send enemies at your opponents like in a normal tug game. But to kill units you have to type out the word or type the answer to a math question. As the game goes longer you get huge words and somewhat difficult math problems to do, at least when there are 20 of them to do a minute. Probably the most intense fun custom I have ever played. |

| Incredible map. Took me awhile on my first try to figure out that you send units from your nexus (for some time I was only playing defensively), but I don't at all mind how the game hits a frenetic pace from the start. |

Just won a 1vs3. Game is awesome. Somewhat lame when your team sucks or the other team sucks, but that's a problem all custom maps face.

This would be helluva LAN party map to play with your friends. I was playing with 2 of mine over skype...there was so much yelling. |

this map is awesome!
I find that the best strat is just to upgrade gas once and then keep upgrading minerals. Wait until the enemy team unleashes a mass of thors or colossi. Type them all down, and wait until the next one. Keep going until you have way too much income, then sweep the enemy. |

My favorite is to upgrade almost pure minerals after one gas, then swamp them with about 10 zealots The words overlap, making stopping them VERY hard

The math is too easy compared to the words.
Anyway upgrade minerals, then gas, then mins some more.
And if someone spams zealots at me I just spam banelings back when the zealots get close to the nexus. Sorta like battlecraft (but this game is way more fun).
Saving for an ultra or thor or colossus with a bunch of little units seems to win games to me most.Last edit: 2010-09-29 17:32:50 |

Game is fun but because the way my keyboard is set up my arms tire rapidly. I have found you can win this game even as the turtle (slowest typist) provided you get a reasonable number of words and spend all of your resources. I am talking from a perspective where I have literally sat at the Nexus, caught any words that slipped by my partners (which was very few, one of them ended up getting ~430, one of my opponents got 400 and the next highest opponent was like 370, I was around ~60 that game) and then turned the game around in a mass of fully upgraded Ultralisks. Even if they nuke my income is so high at that point that another wave will be coming after that, and another, and another.
I find it is a good idea to maintain cannons based on how much stuff is coming at you. You don't have to be a good typist to be good at this game, just be good at spending your resources as you get them. The other key to this game is keeping units off your nexus, it is not always important to kill the most but the ones that are closest.Last edit: 2010-09-30 05:38:54 |

OK, I just noticed that the more games I win, the more gas I start with. I'm at 7 points, I'm starting with 7 gas, which is a huge advantage over 0 cause I can go right to mineral income upgrades.
Sorta dumb IMO. |

Yeah, it means your first 50 mins can go to income instead of gas which should theoretically mean you have a higher income earlier. I would imagine if you had like 50 gas this would be pretty significant.
I think zealots are the way to go imo once you get a lot of money. 9 minerals and no gas means they're easy to spam and with a lot of them its hard to read the words and they're more difficult than zerglings or marines. You can end games earlier than using brutalisks or thors because you can send so many more of them. |

I always get a ton of gas from just a single upgrade. Any tips on how to spend this gas?
Has anyone tried using the stalker+sentry thing? Is it good? |
