So, we have Narutard, Bleach and One Piece threads, but there is a large gap when it comes to this amazing series.
While it may not be one of the big three, with the way certain ones have been going lately this is working it's way up there.

| I used to read this back when I was meant to be studying last year, haven't read it in a while now. Was great at the start and remained pretty damn good up until the point I stopped reading. |

It's a pretty good manga so far but there's a lot of time left to see if it will be a great story or just stay at it's current level. They have a lot of elements built up for the future though so I'm not too worried. I just wished we saw more creative uses of their powers. It always seems to be "hit as hard as I can".
The current arc seems interesting although I'm not sure if the mystery character will turn out well. His powers seem overpowered and boring.

| It's good, but it'll never be able to compete with the Big 3 in terms of actual popularity. (The Big 2 now since I heard Bleach sucks majorr ) I like FT a lot actually, I feel the arcs are really unique (although the characters aren't lulz). I think it's WAY better than the other fighting shonen series running in Jump right now. (I guess it's because FT is like Weekly's "flagship"). We'll have to see how far he decides to take the story this time. Oh, and tons and tons of fan service, really though I think all mangakas are a bit ecchi at times. Last edit: 2010-10-04 00:53:27 |

It's a decent series, it's been much better than Bleach for awhile but that's not really saying much. I think the arcs are generally short and somewhat disjointed from each other and I don't think it balances it's comedy with it's more dramatic aspects very well (the comedy tends to dominate too much imo). The major "long" plots in the series (just what is up with Gerard, what happened to the Dragons / fake dragon slayers) really don't resonate with me like the mysteries in some of the other shonens do.
As far as shonen manga goes, One Piece and HunterxHunter are at the top for me and this lags way behind probably around Naruto with Bleach way in the back lol. |

I was thinking about making this thread too 
Anyway, it's a fun manga to read, and there is a lot of similarity with the author's previous work - Groove Adventure Rave.
Like lovedrop said, it can't compare to the big 3 with popularity, but it's good for a weekly.

| I stopped reading this at like chapter 120... I dunno after a certain point it seemed like the author was just making shit up to fit with the story (like Bleach). The artwork is definitely good, and I have several friends who tell me I'm stupid for not liking this manga |

I know the manga itself is kind of stupid, but reading it occasionally is kind of fun.

The main char really reminds me of Luffy and the girls to Nami and Robin but look more slutty. Even the art looks like its "borrowed" from One Piece but maybe looks little bit better .
Anyway I heard that this manga is preety good and probably better than Bleach (well everything is better than Bleach right now lol ) so i might start reading it in the future. The anime is ongoing so i might start watching it and pick up the manga eventually. |

Remember, from the cat's pre-cognition, Lucy will be crying, Natsu is super tense + something goes wrong with Kana, so those two teams must make it through the first round, and then super killer kid appears~

Kinda laugh on it. Still, I guess the exam will end with the "oh look everyone dies near me" boy that knows Natsu... A good manga, a lot like Rave, but "just" fun.
