I actually burst out laughing when Erza said she'd take on all 100, then I was moved to chills.

Badass.

Pity we didn't get to see any more of Jura, Orga or the Raven Tail guy.

an effect of not as much dialogue/pages dedicated to one thing but much more going on same amount of pages though.

I loved that I went into that chapter with a sort of "hm that's a lot of people i wonder who will make it out and who it will come down to between erza and --- oh. bahahhaha", and then seeing the picture where she picks 100 and grey and natsu are just laughing hysterically.

I keep reading back every few pages, just looking at everyone's reactions as she wins. Such an awesome chapter.
Hell, it's been a string of really good chapters for Fairy Tail. First with Natsu being awesome, then Erza? God I love this manga.

Yes, this means that Fairy Tail A basically won the games. It also means the doom that would mess up the games is coming soon to prevent a Fairy Tail A win, and Erza won´t be in top shape to fight it, because she´s recovering in the hospital. Erza is the best of the best, but she´s got a tendency to get beat up in one big battle, and then leave the scene to the others.

Wait what? I thought she just earned the max possible score for this event only not the entire tournament, that would make this tournament arc so short and I still want to see other events

Yeah that's what I was thinking. First place gets 10 points, Fairy Tail A, and everyone else gets.. 0 I guess? I don't think they just get 100 points right off the bat, that would make the arc way too short. :/

to be honest its not that badass. There is only 1 S class monster and like 3 A class. Those are the only ones taht matter. It doenst matter how many weak mobs you throw at someone if they all die in one hit or one big AOE

While I was reading that the competitor chooses the number of monster to fight I immediately thought that someone would pick 100, because as gameguard says, only very few of those monsters are actually a threat. ^^

Very cool chapter. I'm sure I read the final few pages (from the moment Erza says 'All 100 will be my opponent' to the end) at least 10 times. So badass!

so predictable.
I was sure since the rules explanation that the first guy to enter would take the 100 monsters :
if you win, you win this game = + 10 points for your team
if you lose, all team have 0point.
easy strat

the explanations were too long. I'd prefer to have more batlle artworks if the author didn't know what to say instead of boring pages.

The point of it was that "S class monster" didn't really mean S-class mage. It meant it was strong enough that the 10 strongest mages in the world would struggle/lose to it. And Erza beat that & more.

I was worried about my midterms today, but I saw someone walking around in a cow outfit carrying a skateboard. It was at that moment I knew I was ready.
