Jaedong giving autographs to fans at the "eSports IP rights conflict resolution meeting" [T/N failblur]
[T/N rocking the death stare while giving a speech?]
Jaedong, at the meeting [T/N anyone who can read the original Korean confirm/deny that this is the same negotiation meeting as the one between Blizz and Korea's Department of Culture please?], delivered a speech. He said, "My career as a progamer and the love my fans have given me are of course due to the game of Starcraft." He added, "If there were no Korean broadcasting companies, no team sponsors and KeSPA, no Korean Department of Culture [T/N I think that's what he's talking about... the Chinese translation refers to a just government body], then I would not be here today."
The hard work of many people went into the establishment of Starcraft as a primary element of Korean eSports, but Blizzard refuses to acknowledge this, and Jaedong considered that very regrettable. When the negotiations ground to a halt, many progamers felt uneasy. Regarding this, Jaedong said: "This particular negotiation, to us progamers, is incredibly important."
Jaedong said: "The fans have gone all out supporting us and cheering us on; when I heard that my fans were moved watching my games, I felt proud to be a progamer. To repay the fans, I spent countless hours developing strategies."
Jaedong concluded, "I hope the IP conflict issue is resolved speedily. The progamers play on the stage for the greatest joy, so I hope for successful negotiations which will let us remain on that stage."

Fear the Dong Blizzard.....His zerglings can chop your dingdongs....

Curious if the girls faces were blurred (and maybe shopped to something else?) as to respect their privacy or something...that picture other wise looks weird haha.
And does anyone know why Jaedong was invited to that meeting or why he was there in the first place?

One of my T/Ns asks for someone to help me out here by checking the original Korean.

Jaedong's sexiness emits a distortion field that blurs the faces of those less attractive than him.

well pros are the ones that have to "deal" with the outcome... so thye got a pro there and listen what he has 2 say.
the thing with the face i think its normal in korea if u take pictures of "stars" that the random people get their faced blurred.

If Jaedong told you to do something, wouldn't you do it because he's motherfucking JAEDONG?
His words to inspire the issues to be resolved aren't a support speech, it's a goddamn command.

More like Jaedong looks like he needs to get some sleep.

I believe this 'meeting' is like a testimony before congress or something. I'm not familiar with Korean political terms, but I'll be searching for it.

Not a translation, just summary.
(Lol this guy is named Huh-joon, a famous Korean dude back in the days)
Jaedong was invited to the 'e-Sports content intellectual copyright solution' debate as the progamer representative. He said, "The people who all strove to develop esports and their efforts must be acknowledged by Korea along with the rest of the world.
Of course, one cannot deny the importance of the SC in developing the esports scene but if it wasn't for the sponsors [t/n the coporations], the body that manages progamers (kespa) and government entities, I can say without a doubt that I wouldn't be here.
...express regret at the current quagmire. Gamers are worried about how this may turn out.... our lives depend on it.
The rights (and privileges) of progamers is to do their best to repay the fans and their inspiring words and cheers.
wish for a satisfactory solution... so gamers can entertain the audience. jjoony@dailygame.co.kr

Both sides are crucial to E-Sports.
