Shouldn't this be within the new "TL Advertising" section/treads? :D

Hey! We finally started! Yay!
So I just finished skimming thru the whole thread (which took a while) and I gotta say, we seem to be in a good start! We have some possible leads to mafia/vampire which isn't definite but a good start nonetheless. I'm going to wait a little longer and see what others have to say before making my vote and giving my own input upon the matter (partially since I'm about to go to sleep and don't want to think right now) later in time. But go go town!

The evidence is quite obvious but it could be too obvious sometimes. We need to be a little bit more careful about voting. Unless you have someone else in mind, then please enlighten us. Right now, it is the best lead we got. I don't have one specific in my mind right now (that's why I don't vote yet). But I have some idea... Firstly, because the Mafia and Vampire knows who are on the same team with them, they would want to deflect the blame if a person in his team is suspected. A person who rashly accuses other person could be a Mafia or a Vampire, especially on Day 1. Note that this is not about presenting suspicious players' profiles. But it's more about looking at only one profile and making an accusation without analysis or with an over-analysis. Secondly, I believe that there's old-school player here so we might be able to check their previous post first before making an accusation. Analyzing the old posts in previous games might become useful if you have time to do it. I agree with both of you. First off, sometimes the evidence being too obvious may be that the mods of this games are trying to throw us off. It has happened in the past and it could mean there is a HIDDEN message within that obvious message. Of course, there were also times when obvious message could be it though I believe the mods would tend to throw in this hidden message that can only be found after careful detailed investigation than just skimming it thru. This is what I'm waiting for, to see if anyone can find that.
And I also do agree that the strong blaming games or strong defense on such person can be easily target out. Especially at this early stage of the game but most importantly, BECAUSE THERE'S A LOT OF NEW PLAYERS in this particular game. That means several people are unorganized and inexperienced to know how to smartly play this game. This is good for the town usually unless it's the town that's filled with new inexperienced players and the mafia/vampires are all experienced. I'm sure the mods balanced that out....
And checking old posts are useful if it somehow links to it. That does require intense looking and research however and if someone has the time to do so, it'll be great. But I warn whoever wishes to do that per person will take hours, days, or even weeks to fully get everyone's full past history and profile.... so focus on the ones that are suspicious first...

I also just realized this, DrH and meeple, HOW COME THERE ISN'T A MAYOR IN THIS GAME LIKE ALL OTHER PAST MAFIA GAMES?!?!? WELL?
|
Good job!! As time goes along and more research is done individually, we can add more info in each person but this is good for quick immediate noticeable info.

Hey guys,
I realized when I was up here yesterday, it was like page 12 and now in one day, it went 22 pages. Wow, what a long fast moving game!
So I finally took the time to just skim (not read carefully, just skim) thru the pages. (There's no way I can put myself spending hours to see every word everyone said). But I got the basic message and seeing from the voting thread, it seems the majority of people here are voting off Veldril or Masq, even though it seems everyone is agreeing both are red people.
Honestly, I'm not sure who to pick right now, I'm looking over the clues and what most of you said but I still get this feeling that it's very vague.... there needs to be a better convincing bandwagon trend where everyone just rushes off and agree to vote off one player instead of split between townies. That won't bring us victory if we aren't unified as one! Teamwork!!!!!!

That being said, I'll give my own personal opinion and view upon the first vote. Even though people won't see my way of thinking nor feel the same, I feel really suspicious over orgolove...
He's done so much for the town already, providing a database for all players, bringing/summing up clues, and research info much more than most of us here. This is really good for the town and helpful. But, that's the thing. To my eyes, he's being way too active in this game, much more so than the average player. That usually means few things:
1. He's a blue. 2. He's a red (mafia/vampire) 3. He's just a really dedicated determined townie.
Typically, a townie doesn't spend this much time if they are just a regular role, even if they want to engage in the game as much as they want. The way he has put a lot of work for the town (which is good, not saying it's bad) and basically doing things most of us won't do means that he's trying to lead the game to go into a certain direction. I mean that in a way where if he's a blue, then he would have the urge and right to help the town as much as he can to win the game. But if he's red, this is one of the ways he can do to avoid suspicion over him since he's contributing a lot.
I'm not saying contribution is bad, but I just have this gut feeling of weirdness here.... I just don't know if it's a good weird feeling or a bad one... either way, I figured it's good food for thought...

That being said, since I don't know if I'll be around to finish my voting, I'm going to decide now and make a vote so I don't get modkilled. Since I'm not convinced at the moment to follow bandwagon of the two main candidate, I'm going to go with my gut feeling with who I think should be dead. I choose you thegilaboy! (Personal grudge)

You guys, can't we all get along??? Must we fight to see who's superior and who's right?? Let's all sing the peace song! :D

Alright, I'm sorry doctorhelvetica. I didn't mean to spam here purposely without a point. In return, I'll continue on with the discussion:
So I noticed that there's a close vote count between Veldril and Masq with 12-11. I have a feeling that there will be people who will switch over near the end (tomorrow) from one side to another to get one of them voted off. Or those who suddenly start mass voting to one of the two. I suggest someone to keep watch off those people. Of course, some people probably can't help it since they don't want to be mod-killed for not voting, but the fact that they haven't voted yet or are waiting till the last minute to make final vote, those are the people to look out for and exactly when. I'll probably take off my joke side and pick an actual person too myself later on but unless everyone agrees on voting one side, then there's going to be some interesting mood swing votes coming up...

Meh, this game goes on too fast... or maybe I just don't get on this and commit enough time on it. either way, I don't have much time to actually go through 30 unread pages and decide and give my feedback like I usually do. Fuck life, midterms, 20 hour internship, school, girl that's leading to nowhere, and life...
Anyone here want to give me or others like me a brief summary in one post of what happened the last 30 pages??
I know that if I don't have the time, then I shouldn't be playing but as much as I'm considering to quit... I still sorta wanna play.... blah.

Veldril already has enough to get lynched edit by way of post. I mean who you suspected from 30 pages ago. Not alot has changed since then. I stated this like 30 pages ago that I feel uneasy to that spreadsheet guy who always post with his spreadsheet and give information/evidence on others. It's just a feeling I have but in my opinion (assuming he didn't change thru the 30 pages), he's being way overly active to be just a townie and the fact that he's doing too much work makes me feel that he's doing it so no one can be suspicious of him ever....
But I could be wrong and he can really have so much free time like crazy and with REALLY good intention that most of us lazy folks won't do. Making a database of clues, posts, and everything instead of using that in real life professional jobs to earn 40k a year.

So I finally caught up with all the pages (took me literally days) and I must say, I'm not sure how to put it... but I feel the town is a little confused with organization and forming together as one in a team. It's just one or few people saying one thing and everyone else is bandwagoning just the hell out of it, which brings up to the point that only few are REALLY playing this game and everyone else is just following along with the curve. I'm sure among them are vampires/mafias hiding there and mingling with the townies who are just simply inactive.
Even now there's a split vote between HeavenOnEarth and Artanis[Xp] with them being close in votes. Unlike Masq and Veldril in the first two days, these two people don't even link to each other at all. How are we to work together if the whole town cannot decide which one to pick for today and tomorrow??
This is what I'm confused about and this especially gives people who aren't as active as the REAL players in this game who are the active townies, mafias, and vampires. (I'm assuming mafias and vampires are active since they can be among the active townies or "behind the scene" plotting away while being seem inactive). It can't be helped that every mafia game we have, not all 100% of people are active people like others are and thus creating an uneven balanced where the few lead and the rest just follows. But at the very least, in order for the town to successfully prevail as a team, shouldn't the active members all go in the same direction and compromise with one another of what to do when and how and etc??
|
That being said, despite how you have several different people pointing fingers at different people, all of them have given creditability which is good. I'm still confused though that some posts aren't getting enough attention while others get way too much attention and thus, imbalance occurs...
*Edit on last post* I also meant a split vote between the two mentioned above and glurio not to make myself confused and all, but I'm sure you get the point.
|
Now onward with my personal thoughts, I'm not too sure who to pick really. It's unfortunate this particular mafia game doesn't have "double lynch" ability like the past ones (thanks Dr. H) so we have to stick with voting one person at a time which isn't good. My opinions is split as well though I am leaning 60-40 toward Bill Murray's replacement because of BM's past actions and even this replacement. He spam PMed me with asking me who I think was mafia/vampire and etc and I felt like I didn't need to respond or listen to him. (Besides, I was busy outside so by the time I checked PM, it was like several days old). But then again, he's always like that even in past games, going nuts over this game....
