| After checking out your awesome bracket thing yesterday, I was looking forward to listening to your podcast. However, I turned it off pretty quickly. Blizzard gives you a hard number as to win %, and instead of debating constructively as to why that might be when compared to your own personal experiences, you guys just say that the numbers are flat out wrong and then talk about how you constantly lose to T in PvT? What the heck guys, it was a pretty huge turn-off to listening to more of your podcast. Last edit: 2010-11-23 04:11:01 |

Downloading your podcasts at 15kb/s. Might want to consider putting these up on a mirror somewhere (filefront)
EDIT : Make that 9kb/s, holy fuck. Last edit: 2010-11-23 04:34:10 |

LOL, laughed a lot at Foxer wearing tight pants.
+ Show Spoiler [GSL S3 RO64 Day 1] + This week's funny quote: Marty: My boy Vines' gonna pave the way for Aiur.
+ Show Spoiler [GOMtv All-Star] +PS: Tester won 3rd place. He doesn't suck. I think he just doesn't practice enough. That's probably why he quit oGs, cause he wanted to practice less.
I think overall it's kinda pointless to discuss the bracket past RO64 at the moment. It's fun, but by RO32 almost half of them are probably wrong already, and by RO16 they're mostly wrong. Better to do it week by week. But don't let me stop you doing what you think is fun.

| Ohh well we were doing our march madness version so we had to predict each match. Also that's all the show was for, it's not a real episode lol |

Lol at people who complain when there is whining about match ups, and are on tl sc2 general.
On SOTG they always laugh at matchups and talk about difficulties and personal experiences. Discussion on race challenges is part of the current community.
But I digress, I see that there are already some great upsets in gsl3. + Show Spoiler +

Hey there, first time listener here. Your show is pretty cool, but I wish there was some more meat to it. I really enjoyed the matchup and question segments, but it kinda felt like that was 1/3 of the podcast...then there was 1/3 reading off of the big TL threads, and lastly 1/3 talking about players being either good or bad in a very general way.
For example it seemed like you guys talked about tester for about 20 minutes, and all I got out of it was that you thought he was bad. No explanation given, just repetitous whining. As a listener Id be interested to know why you feel that way (and about similarly grouped players, such as TLO, Morrow, Foxer) but for the love of god if you're going to whine about something at least attach an argument to it, instead of "oh, he sucks, because he's him" or some nonsense like that approximately 100x.
I don't want to sound too negative because I did enjoy the show, I like your humor and when you actually delve into stuff like the pvt matchup it's great. I just think if you put the focus on your own.content and commentary, rather than simply reading stuff off of TL, you could do even better (ps put BW stuff at the end because Im sure there's plenty of others like me that really don't care about the BW scene right now) |

Disclaimer: I've listened to your show since around ep 6-7. I did enjoy most of it, but recently some things start to become irritating.
I just listened half way through Ep 11. I can understand now why the recent negative feedbacks. Your talkshow is now sounding more like a bitching show. All the negative comments towards players without any reasonable reasoning is just so unprofessional. I have never/heard seen any sports talk show that insults/badmouths players as much as you guys do (maybe cause I don't listen to all the bad ones). But it just feels very unprofessional to keep mentioning "Player X" sucks or "I hate Player Y" over and over again.
For example: just from ep 11, you said that you hate TLO. Why? No reason given. If you think he just hasn't proven himself then you can just say that: TLO has yet to prove himself. You guys also said multiple times that Tester sucks? Why? If you feel he's just overrated player, then just say it that way.
I'm not sure if it's really your goal to stay as a "backyard talkshow" or you're actually trying to be something more professional. I mean, listen to other talk shows like SotG or GiantBomb's. Sure, they do joke around once in a while, but they don't insult other players. Even InControl's rant about Select's playstyle was a sound argument. He doesn't like someone's playstyle, but he doesn't insult the person directly.
If it's really what you want your show to become: a controversial show, then you're going on the right direction. But you may lose a lot of potential listeners that way. TL;DR version: This talkshow is sounding more like a talkshow hosted by grumpy old men. You bitch too much about other players.
Alternate solution: Since you two are sounding more and more subjective, perhaps you should bring a third speaker who is more objective/neutral. Murray didn't sound half bad, but he was pretty quiet.Last edit: 2010-11-24 02:15:06 |

| PS: On a separate topic, I wonder what you guys look like. I always pictured Marty like Howie from Top Chef, and Borg like Seth Green. |

Lol we don't look anything like that. I tried to get the volume the best I could, and yeah Marty needs to chill out about saying everyone sucks now that people are upset about it hahaha. Thank you for being so constructive, I really appreciate it. Most people just say "they bitch too much" but you took the time and I respect the hell out of that, and we will work on these things |

Hey guys, love the show! Just keep doing what you're doing.
I especially liked the section where you guys went over your "Build of the Week". I'm a bronze player (just hit #1!), and I may try out protoss after hearing Marty's build with DT, it seems really cool, something tangible for me to try and have fun with.
I casually keep up with the pro scene, I watch GSL now and again, and I enjoy the good humor and banter that you two do back and forth.
I don't think you're "hating" it's all in good fun. I enjoy SotG, but I like the style you guys represent, I feel like it's a "For the players, by the players" type of podcast.
I also enjoy when you guys go off on tangents that have nothing to do with the game, such as last week's (I think it was last week) tangent on Madden football back in the college days and the shenanigans surrounding that.
Fun stuff.
I enjoy the "guys next door" talking about SC2 vibe the show gives. You guys have a nice mix of "professional" and two guys doing this for fun.
My two cents for now guys, I've been listening since show #7 or so, and will continue to do so. |

That is pretty much spot on. Decided to give the show a try, but after 40 mins I stopped. Needless repeating how player/show X sucks and how ladder rating sucks and how GOM sucks. Plus blind racial bias like: "P wins 55% vs T in NA diamond" - "This is not true. Terran is imba and toss should get HT and DT from one building."

Hey Guys,
I've been listening since the beginning and really enjoy your show. incidentally, i cant remember who is who but can distinguish your voices quite easily as one of you sounds like Chris Griffin from family guy (you can hear a sample of what i mean here)
Anyway, i have one bone to pick with you guys, you love to trash talk the ladder system that blizzard has in place and yet you both stress the need to use it to better your play. what are your specific issues with the system in place and what would you do to fix it?
Love the show and please keep it up!
