I really like the discussion about the GSL format last episode. It'll be interesting to hear what you guys think of the new GSL format.
I think its cool that the new format makes Code S harder to hold onto. But I'm really bummed out that there will be very few Code S games. I think both Code S group stages are BO1, and if you get top 2 in both of them, then bam you're in the final RO8. I'm also worried that the Code S games will be low quality because its always easy to cheese a win in a BO1.
I mean I understand that there will be a ton of games. Up&Downs will be huge with 5 groups of 6, and the Code A buildup starts out as a RO48. But I wish there were more Code S games. I'm worried that these changes will mean that I will see less games from top players like MVP MMA and more games from low-mid pros like random Slayers Terrans.
I think I agree alot with Borg, I wish GSL had a 2 month tournament instead of 1 month. Where there is no Code A/S, it's just the previous GSL's top 8 that are seeded directly into the next GSL RO16. The first month would have really good qualifier group play because it would feature current low-mid Code S players against those who are Code A right now. Then in the second month you could have an epic, all BO7 RO16 single elimination tournament. Well there isn't going to be a new episode  the show is done, at least temporarilly. Maybe Marty will make a statement or something but basically he's got way too much going on, and is sorta fed up with Starcraft. So his drive to watch/play is very diminished from where it once was. I will continue playing and doing my best to put myself out there as a community member/entertainer. I will continue to stream and stuff so be on the lookout. And maybe with enough convincing, you guys can get Marty to do one last show :D

Lol I guess that is what happens when you ask Castles why I stopped signing on instead of asking me yourself.
I'm not "fed up", in fact I still watch and really want to play. I have a lot going on with school and work and can't play as much as I would like to. I wasn't content with only getting to play an hour or two a day a few times a week and playing poorly because of it. I wasn't going to prioritize a computer game over school work cause well, I did that before and it didn't work out too well for me.
You have to play a lot to stay in shape for Starcraft and I didn't have the time to do that. It didn't make sense to spend the little free time I had by playing a game that frustrated me because I didn't have the time it took to stay good at it, if that makes sense.
