How about, take advice from whom ever the fuck you want, and check if what they say is credible if you want to. But don't just hop on to a thread and talk about why anyone's advice is bullshit, without backing it up yourself. So do you have anything to say about how stretching is bad for you? I stretch every fucking day, it feels great, hows that for physical capital. It helps me wake up in the morning. If I'm sore at work I usually know its because I didn't stretch before (stretching before prolonged physical activity seems like a pretty basic and helpful concept). Oh and I'm 6 feet tall and I weigh 145 pounds, with probably less than 5% body fat. I don't know if that means shit (most definitely not), but I certainly look like I know how to stay in shape.

If you are 6' and only 145 lbs you aren't in shape. You are some kind of otherworldly thin weak person who shouldn't be giving exercise advice to anyone. All you know how to do is not eat.

My post didn't say stretching was bad for you. Most people in this country need to stretch more. Weightlifters who say stretching is bad for you are just misinterpreting some studies' conclusions that static stretching before max lifts actually reduces total force output. But you can't squat if you have no hip mobility. I didn't offer advice of my own because I'm not going to put up pictures or numbers to credential myself. People can find better resources on lifting with a search engine and some critical thought.

Just what I was going to say. Dude, at that height you should at least be 170. If you are really 6 foot and under 150 you'd look like a holocaust survivor.

And btw, you don't have 5% bodyfat. Thats impossible to maintain for less then a few days at a time.

30-60 minutes of hard cardio everyday will put you in a much better mood + the physical benefits.

What do you mean by 'hard' cardio? Could you pm me with some links or explanations that will help me start doing them?

Running constantly, or running a lap really hard then walking the next lap, and vice versa.

Thats liek a weird way of doing HIIT..

Do some HIIT runnign 15 mins and ull lose weight super fast. U start at 2 mins and every 2 weeks increase by 2 or 1 depending how you do its this

Spring full out 30 seconds jog 30 seconds. and keep doing it over and over. when you can do that for 15 mins

theres vaiations.
1 min sprint 1 min jog or 1 min sprint 2 min cool off.

but the 30 and 30 is pretty decent.

Its good cuz your metabolism speeds up for the whole day and u burn fat after ur done.

When you break up with someone give yourself some space to get over the person. It is natural to try and visit them or have them try and "Be friends" these visits will only prolong the dead relationship and lead to more problems. (At least in my experience)

I can confirm this as true, I'm 6'1'' and 120 pounds, I have had chronic problems with weight gain for my entire life. I am in fine shape in terms of nutrition and I have full muscle tone, but it's still not much to take away from the fact that I look emaciated.

I would gladly gain 50 pounds of pure fat if I could, and give up all my muscle if it meant I could be a healthy body weight. There's not much I can do about it, I've seen 4 different nutritionists and tried damn near every diet there is, I'm considering surgery to rectify the matter.

Stretching is BAD. Unless ur a hot chick there is no reason to get super flexible. It actually hurts strength and risks injury. There are a few dynamic stretches and things for people who don't have full mobility but that yoga garbage isn't good for you. Thing like your lower back are for stability not motion. This is especially true before strength training as you lose the elasticity so you can't lift as much weight and risk injury.
Unless your a body builder, I doubt stretching hinders strength training. I've been doing a bridge every morning since I was little, and when I started going to the gym, I grew 10 pounds of muscle in only 2 months, not taking account into the cardio beforehand which probably helped cut down the fat.

My advice - stretch often, especially if you don't have muscle, as it will actually allow you to appear more muscular because you body will feel naturally more comfortable moving around in its ideal positions.

Same deal here, 6'2 and 150-155 lbs. I eat a lot during the day (a lot) and have a pretty healthy diet but just can't seem to gain weight (very high metabolism). Only thing I can imagine that would help me gain weight is have a diet with a huge amount of fat, but I don't want to die from a heart attack somewhere in my 20's-30's ^_^

LOL? 6'1" 170 lbs is pretty much ideal unless you are actively trying to put on muscle mass. Saying anything less makes you look like a Holocaust survivor is definitely not true.

Instead of breaking for a light you know you wont make, let off the gas early and let the light change before you have to come to a complete stop. Saves on gas and you will get that wonderful feeling of never actually having to stop your car. Note doesn't work great downtown during rush hour
