TL forums have seen their share of threads asking individual questions about mice or looking for recommendations. The purpose of this thread is to create one central location on TL for all information, discussion, and recommendations about mice. In this thread I have compiled a list of popular gaming mice with their technical specifications and prices, explanation of certain technical aspects and some of my own opinions on the subject, as well as listing some other good mouse threads from TL. I will continue to add to the OP recommendations and reviews posted in this thread by fellow TL members. If there is anything additional you would like to see added or if you want to contribute to the OP, please PM me.

Important, Please Read:

If you are requesting information in this thread, make sure you've checked out the Mice Info, Specs, & Reviews section in the OP; as it probably contains at least some of the information you're looking for. If you have a technical question, please take a look at the Technical Guides section first as it may answer your question.

If you're asking for a mouse recommendation please copy and paste the questions in the below spoiler into your reply, failure to do so may mean your request does not receive a prompt or accurate response.

I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly's a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

for your money myth, you should add that alot of pro players play with ms1.1, ms3.0 and wmo, which are 20-30$. alot of pro fps players *dont* use these mice simply because they have to use equipment from their sponsors, obviously

this isnt to say that "gaming" equipment isnt worth the money, but people should understand that they are paying more for marketing bs alot of the time.

There was actually a thread about this, I think it turned out that a lot of players were just using mid-range gaming mice and not the like $130 ones.

I find it and post a link in the OP.

4000 DPI and it's only $50? Damn that sounds nice. Not a lot of reviews out there, not even many customer reviews on NewEgg or Amazon. I did find one decent review Here but I've never heard of this site before so I'm not sure how trust-worthy it is.

The mere fact that wireless and Bluetooth signals are by nature slower than a corded signal

I'm going to have to disagree, the speed of light is in fact much faster than the speed electricity can delivery data in a copper medium. So I don't understand how by nature they can be slower. In fact if anything by nature they're faster but they're slower by design.

Which I will also contest as Razer tote their wireless mamba mouse as being their fastest responding, even faster than those with cords.

Not that it makes a fucking difference anyway.

Added.

Also added two of Microsoft's gaming mice (which really don't seem that great to me, but I've never used them).

Logitech Mini Optical may deserve a shoutout in this thread, seeing as how it's a BW staple and quite a few of the forum members are still using it for SC2.

With the weight removed from the inside and removing the click spring for the scroll wheel, it's a very lightweight, maneuverable mouse that's awesome for fingertip-style mouse users or those who prefer using smaller mice.

Unfortunately for me, I have big hands so I find it quite awkward to claw-grip this mouse. Getting a Razer DeathAdder in the very near future.

I'd still be using my Mini Optical but I lost it .

Deathadder is a great mouse, got me to switch from claw to grip or w/e it's called. Only problem is it's Razer so they put that plastic on the sides right where your palm rests and it gets really grimy. If I could find my Mini Optical I'd switch back to it and sell my Deathadder probably though.

See that's interesting, because I have been for years told the opposite. I'll edit it out for now and see if I can do some research on what is correct.

The older MX518s were a max DPI of 1600. Newer one that I picked up recently is 1800. That CNET review might just be an older review.
