Would anyone recommend a Deathadder? I am currently using a sensei and to be honest after about 5 months I can't get used to the grip on this mouse, I used a mx518 for years until it broke and anyone who has used it can attest to how being used to a non ambidextrous grip would be an issue on the sensei.
I really just need a non ambidextrous mouse that has clear finger rests for the right side like the 518 did.
I like a full palm grip and the sensei just doesn't provide that.

Just realized that is the same shape as a mx 518, very interesting.Last edit: 2012-05-28 13:17:48 |

The deathadder is a great mouse as is the g400. I posted a brief Logitech g400 Review on page 63.
The deathadder has a flawless sensor and has a similar shape to the IME 3.0 and the Zowie EC series mice. From my experience, I've had a better experience with my logitech g400 due to my preference of the g400/g5/mx518/imperator shape compared to the Deathadder shape. Many people do like the Deathadder and I would try going to a computer store and holding the mouse in your hand. To imagine the shape, there is an arch similar in height to that of the G400, but the back side of the mouse (closer to the bottom of your wrist), is lower on the Deathadder. This causes your wrist to be higher up on the G400. For me, this gave me a more natural palm grip as more of my palm wrested on the G400. However, I didn't really experience a drop in performance in switching between the two mice, I just had a more comfortable experience playing with my G400. One of the great things I see in the g400 is the ridge on the right side of the mouse. It really helps holding the mouse when lifting it up and down.

I've bought a G400. The extra DPI lets me be accurate and have a high sensitivity in SC2 at the same time without skipping pixels like my MX518 did. I also like the shape more than any other mouse, as well as the button placements. As a bonus, I like the color scheme on it better, too! :D Edit: It's also bigger. :DLast edit: 2012-05-29 14:01:13 |

The G500 is probably the greatest mouse I have ever used.

Anyone would happen to know if you could fix a bent mouse shell?
I've had a Razer Abyssus for a couple of years now and its shell for the left click is bent, more than the right click, so its hard to click on left click (Making A-moves really hard in SC2) It's probably from wear and tear, but I was wondering if anyone experienced this with anything else. Trying to pool some money to buy a new mouse, maybe another Abyssus, but if this one can be saved, I'd rather do that.
Currently using my Orochi laptop mouse for now, until I can get a new one, or fix the Abyssus. |

| I have an abyssus whose clicker is starting to wear out. I started looking for replacements and narrowed it down to: razer deathadder, ss kinzu, ss kana, zowie mico, or intellimouse explorer 3.0/microsoft wheel optical mouse. my grip style is claw and some palm, budget is below $50, and I play sc2, d3, and ut3. which one do you guys would be the best choice? |

What would you recommend me to buy? The Razer Spectre, or the Razer Deathadder?
Thanks a lot. |

| I'm never buying razer ever again. my brother had 2 da's malfunction after a few months, and my abyssus' clicker wore out after about 3. overpriced garbage. we can thank planned obsolescence! |

This is actually the biggest issue with me between buying a g400 or a DA, I tried a DA in the store and the fit is awesome but I have heard such bad things about Razer mice, mind you a lot of my logitech stuff crapped out pretty quick too. Tough decision. |

go with g400. I just bought a G1 from ebay, and about to get the g400 from newegg ($40). |

I want to change my mouse from MX518 but 3600 dpi is way overkill for me, but I need faster mouse. A lot of people said that using the driver/setpoint making the mouse jitter, but you can't change default dpi setting (400/800/1800/3600) without setpoint, and the dpi setting will return to default when you quit the setpoint.
Can G400 users confirm this? Or has logitech fix the software issue?
I love my MX518 and seeing G400 as its successor I prefer G400 over other mouse. Or should I get g500? |

I cant decide on the Sensei or Razer Abyssus. I already had the Sensei as I was used to a Xai (which broke) but recently got an abyssus since its pretty cheap and I was having issues gripping my Sensei (late game = sweaty hands = bad on the plastic glossy surface).
which one is more used by pro gamers? I've read about the Sensei having accelleration which is annoying as I want to only get more accurate over time. the Abyssus though seems too light and it results in me always accidentally lifting it up / causing my cursor to jump around which is super annoying.. but aside from that I feel like I am more accurate with the mouse/micro better etc.
opinions? i really can not decide and am probably becoming worse by constantly switching between the two each day lolLast edit: 2012-06-01 08:38:38 |

Starcraft 2. 6. Do you mind angle snapping? I dont care. 7. Other relevant information: Just the best SC2 mouse available out there. Awesome drivers are always good to have.
The first question is really crucial If you can't answer it as it is, think of it that way: what kind of shape do you like better for your mouse? If you can't answer that there really are too many options out there!

Haha I had a similar dilemma with Imperator / G300, I feel ya man. It looks like the real issue is that you like the shape of the Sensei better but you got one with a glossy surface which is a big no no for extended usage and you don't like the slight accel that it has. Unfortunately I think your only recourse is to sell these two mice and get a big mouse from another manufacturer, such as a Razer Deathadder / Imperator or a Logitech G500 / G400.
