Hello Fellow TL:ers!
Id like to request your help!
1. What's your grip style? Claw grip 2. What's your sensitivity? Medium (6/10 windows) 51% starcraft 3. What's your maximum budget? Medium range so somewhere around 70 dollars 4. Do you want additional buttons? It is not required but can be there. Just not like razer naga. 5. What games do you play? Starcraft 2 only 6. Do you mind angle snapping? Nope 7. Other relevant information: Input anything else you want.
I would prefer a kind of small and fast, I am looking to replace my microsoft 3.0 with something new, maybe a bit smaller and faster! |

Maybe you can wait for the coming BST mouse. Although it isnt out yet, and there isnt any garranty that it will be the best mouse, it is in very high esteem within the "mice" community.

Otherwise I would look at the g9x or the Abyssus |

I'll be more than likely getting one when they go on preorder, and there will be plenty of reviews and technical data for everyone to see how the mouse performs from the beta testers (skylit, bullveyr, ramla777, tt1 maybe?) as well as others who do reviews. Keep your eyes peeled. |

Thanks for your answer!
I've looked at the abyssus and the new picutres of the taipan seems so nice, they both seem to fit me, althougt i have to admit that the BST mouse looks REALLY sweet and it would be my top priority. The only concern is when it is getting released Last edit: 2012-06-27 04:51:22 |

The Taipan looks sexy indeed. Even though its marketed as a clow/pawn grip mouse, the mouse is still 124mm lond. This is around the length of the Sensei. How well one can claw it may depends on the size of the person his hands.
In regard of the BST mouse, it has been a little quiet around the mouse this last week. Last I heard was that there were new protopyes on the way to the testers. If the mouse is all good it shouldnt take too long after that. It will probably still take till august. |

Taipan is actually closer to the Kana in size. Also, some big updates for this mouse as well. We now know that the sensor is a custom A9800 for Razer (not uncommon with their 3668 and 3688 versions in the Abyssus and DA). It's a A9818 main sensor (so laser), but there's still a secondary optical sensor for advanced calibration (won't be used in tracking I guess?). You can adjust the LOD of the mouse from 1-10mm in Synapse and its CPI is adjustable from 100-8200. The main switches, I couldn't see the model number but they are Omrons, while the side switches are TTC. |

1. What's your grip style? Palm
2. What's your sensitivity? Low (3/10 windows)
3. What's your maximum budget? Like 70$
4. Do you want additional buttons? Not really.
5. What games do you play? Starcraft 2 and Battlefield 3
6. Do you mind angle snapping? Nope
7. Other relevant information: Currently i am using the Logitech G9 (first generation) since 3 years, i am starting to feel that the mouse is getting destroyed from inside because everytime i move it, feels like something is wrong inside. The main reason i bought that mouse is that it fits perfect in my hand. |

| the zowie mico looks great, but I currently use 1050dpi on a mx518 / g400 (I want it to be higher once I get more precision) with disabled sensitivity in sc2 and 5/10 in windows with all accelration disabled. Will the semi-fixed dpi on the mico be a big problem for me? If so, what similar mouse could I get in terms of size and quality? I don't use any extra buttons etc. and my mx518 sucks for my handsize and fingertip grip. Last edit: 2012-06-29 03:57:13 |

If the g9 is perfect for you, you should first look at the CM Storm Spawn, and the CM Storm Xornet.

With the fixed Dpi you mean that you can only choose between 400-800-1600 Dpi I think. That shouldnt be a problem, you should adapt pretty fast.
The mico however doesnt have the best sencor, it has some prediction and I believe that the 1600 Dpi is actually 800 Dpi. They make the mouse go two dots every time the sencor registrate one dot. This makes the 1600 Dpi less than optimal (although I have no personal expirience how that feels).
After all my bitching, I believe that one of the startale players used it in the GSL round 16 group A. Dont remember who. So, if its good enough for them, it should be good enough for us |

I managed to get my hands on a Logitech G1 recently, and I have absolutely no complaints with it. I've tried tons and tons of mouses (mice?) and I always seem to have an issue, aside from the standard Microsoft old school laser mouse. The only one, and trust me, the only one, that comes close to replicating the feel of that Microsoft mouse is the Logitech G1. It's runs hella smooth and I feel like I have complete control over my game. Feels great, no complaints, highly recommended for anyone who's picky about the mouse they use.
I have 4 mouses, the Logitech MX518, Logitech G1, Deathadder BE, and the Microsoft standard... all are great, but I prefer the G1 for SC2. |

Since I was an idiot a few hours ago, reposting here.
I would like to replace my current G500 with something similar. The problem with the G500 from my point of view is that the side buttons are too much to the back. I have quite a long thumb and palm so it has to bend a helluva lot to reach the back button.
Anyone know of a mouse that has decent DPI, good build, frictionless scrolling - yeah, that's best feature ever, scrolling through datasheets is a lot less tedious :D and side buttons a bit more to the front?
For comparison, I've had a MX518 before and the buttons on that were somewhat better.
Got recommended G400. Problem is it doesn't have that almost frictionless scrolling which, being lazy and sometimes having to read 1k+ page PDFs, is pretty much close to a must. |

thanks for the reply mate. It should be enough for me... but it's not. I won't buy it anyhow since its only real asset is its size. The mwheel breaks quickly, the teflonpads wear down quickly as they're so small (apparently), the dpi is not what I'm used to etc. I'll probably just go with the g9x without the grip and the weights + weightholder-thingy as it's quite light then. Expensive for extra features I won't use but what the heck, haven't bought a mouse in like 6 years so it's about time
Or if I can get ahold of the g1 or g100...
look out bronzeleague here I come |

I use the corsair m60, a very underrated mouse. It's supposed to be FPS oriented but that's because of a stupid "sniper button" which doesn't get in the way if you don't use it. What's really special about it are the very solid and large mouse feet that make for a very precise and smooth action. Pretty much every mouse I've seen use those small feet that can wear down over time, but this thing has the equivalent of tank tracks on its bottom. It also looks cool and subtle and has 3 dpi settings you can switch easily. I picked it up for 40 at fry's.'
