I'm getting impatient. I need a mafia fix!

A bit of advice: Seeing as PMs aren't allowed in this game, what we want to shoot for is keeping this thread a) informative and b) succinct. If it devolves into a spamfest or two players going at each other for pages on end the mafia are going to have a field day. That's not to say long analysis is bad -- just keep it to the point. At the moment, the only situation that I can think of that would warrant a roleclaim anytime soon would be if you are mew and have found mewtwo. Until then, keep your damn mouths shut as far as your role goes.

More than one person thinks that your logic is flawed, so you accuse them of breaking the rules and ragequit for the night? Your accusations appear random and designed to stir up controversy. I'm not sure if that's the best way to apply pressure at this point, as this thread is very quickly turning into Gabriel vs. The World, each of which are repeating the same arguments over and over. It's exactly what we want to avoid. For the record, I also find the fact that two people jumped on LSB's bandwagon of Infundibulum incredibly suspicious. I'm going to encourage people to keep an eye on zeks (since we're all already talking about Gabriel). I'm also not prepared to vote Gabriel yet, as I can't really imagine a mafia member drawing so much attention to themselves over something so small. On December 10 2010 12:35 Infundibulum wrote: by the way new players should read this link: http://mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php?title=JEEP's_Tells_for_Finding_the_Cop i would ignore the numbers part. there are some interesting articles on the mafia scum wiki, but do not take them as gospel. i gather that the playstyle over there is somewhat different. Why would you draw attention to the fact that someone might be a cop? When I read this it seemed you wanted to point "Intermediate player looking for reasons to vote day 1" (40%), which could describe Gabriel's play thus far. Unless you actually meant to link the one for finding mafia, in which case well done.

On the front page it says "vote in a separate thread found here" but there's no link on here, or after it. I think I missed where it was listed and would be nice to be able to see the votes... I have a feeling I'm missing something very obvious. If you go to the mafia forum here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/index.php?show_part=31 you can see the voting topic about five topics down. Here's a link to the topic itself: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=175624

I'd also like to draw everybody's attention to Eiii, who has been posting in an incredibly scummy fashion. On December 11 2010 16:58 Eiii wrote: ...gabes posts are so blatantly bad I'm actually starting to have a hard time believing they could possibly be authored by scum. o_O On December 11 2010 17:10 Eiii wrote: holy shit Gabriel Mafia: The game where it doesn't matter that your arguments are logically consistent, or that they're accurate, or even that they make any sense at all! As long as you have a long post to make so it looks like you're trying really really hard, congrats! You're absolved of potentially being mafia. Next suspect! What, exactly, are these supposed to contribute? They do absolutely nothing as far as actually refuting gabriel's arguments, but instead continue to pile shit on him by calling his posts bad. It does zero for the actual discussion at hand. To me, it screams scum attempting to deflect a lynch. For now, I'm going to be putting my vote on zeks. If he turns up scum, I think we have been given excellent candidates for the lynch on day 2.

I believe he was scum in Haunted Mafia, where his post style was pretty much the same as we've seen in every other game. No matter what role he is Kenpachi plays pretty suspiciously -- look at how he played Salem mafia, and he was blue! I really don't think we have enough to lynch Kenpachi... yet. I think the best way to determine whether or not he's scum short of a DT check is through guilt by association -- flip another red and see how they relate to Kenpachi.

Im sure TL veterans dont look previous games unless there is a contradictory post from the accused in the active game (refered to the old game). I wouldn't say that. It might have saved Kenpachi's life had more people taken it into consideration. There are very few players able to completely posting style on a dime, and most of those that can (*cough* ace *cough*) are already known for it.

Fortunately my unwitting wit So... I am Cloyster, voltorb exploded on me and my extra night live was removed That's an interesting claim. I'm inclined to believe it -- Hesmyrr has been fairly active, has been stating clear positions on who should be lynched, and in general seems like a town-aligned player willing to put himself out there to risk hits (veteran-style play). In fact, after re-reading his posts I'm not entirely sure where the suspicions of Hesmyrr being scum have come from, and I'll be taking a closer look at those who were putting a lot of pressure on him.

I still think Eiii is mafia, and I'm very very suspicious of LSB. Note his "I'm going to die tonight!" and "Seriously, I don't understand why I'm still alive" posts. It's just a way of saying, "Look! I'm town! Really! Because I'm a target! Really!" If I had to pick a person who would be Gengar, it would be LSB.

At the moment I'm in an airport posting from my phone, but I hope to be able to contribute more in the next day. For now I'll just put down my overall impressions. I wouldn't be at all surprised if d3 is mewtwo, but I'm not sure if I've got the confidence to lynch what may be a veteran. I'm a lot more suspicious of DCL than I am of insanious -- I haven't actually noticed DCL's posts before now, though it's possible that's because insanious had some pressure put on him earlier in the game, whereas DCL has been largely ignored. I also still think Eiii is scum.
