Awesome work uploading, thanks guys! I have now edited my spreadsheet with links to the uploaded games and removed all the games with VODs from the lists in the two posts on the previous page.
If any of the remaining games in those two posts can be found and uploaded that would be fantastic! I know there's some stuff from the prelims, an old 2v2, etc. so I don't know if any of that will be represented in the MBC torrents.

Most of the Prelims will be uploaded but they'll be like this VOD for example, so it will only show parts of some games and miss others completely. 2v2s from Proleague will be uploaded. GOMTV MSLs will not be uploaded to nevake because of this. However I have uploaded some of them as unlisted to one of my own channels, you can find what I have uploaded so far in this thread, I'll complete it soon hopefully when I've finished uploading other stuff that's not on nevake.
Also note that only recent ODT VODs are available, older ones are not on the OGN website (possibly they were never broadcasted).Last edit: 2011-11-17 01:59:53 |

The prelims thing is no problem because that merged/cut format is how they had been uploaded to the jon747 account (and presumably how they were broadcast), so that won't be a change.
As for the OGN stuff, anything I requested was originally uploaded to jon747, so it was presumably broadcasted at some point. If the three things listed on the previous page aren't on their site, I'll probably have to look for them on youku or somewhere, unless someone else was secretly keeping a cache of them... |

I wasn't actually referring to your post when I mentioned the ODT's, just in general what's missing. Regarding the VODs your're missing I'm uploading the 2009 MSL Prelims at the moment, there's 7 parts so I'm not sure where the VODs you're looking for will be exactly. Some of the MSL Survivor games that are in your list I uploaded in the last day or two but they may not have been added to TLPD yet so just check the recent uploaded stuff to nevake, the player's names won't be there yet but it will give the tournament and date. Also I'm uploading the 2009 IESF Star Invitational now which has that Nada Reach game. I'm also going to fill in holes from the Proleagues over the next few days and I'll finish uploading the GOMTV MSLs to my other channel soon. The only thing missing from your list then will be the Korean Air OSL VOD. This is just because since OGN moved to Tooniland their VODs aren't working, I'm hoping that's just a temporary thing and I can get back to getting their VODs soon as there's plenty of stuff I want to download from there.

| Nifty. Sadly the VOD at http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/games/12108_Horang2_vs_Light/vod has been auto-blocked in the U.S. due to musical content from EMI. I hope other VODs in the list aren't similarly blocked. In some ways I guess it's too bad that the brief pre-game intros are attached to these VODs since that's one more copyright issue to contend with :/ |

The way youtube 'audio ID system' works is that it checks first 30 seconds of the uploaded material and compares it to everything in its database (can you imagine the processing power required? - but it is google that owns YT after all).
If it finds a positive match, an appropriate action is taken (upload is blocked or video is flagged for copyright infringement).
Thus the solution is to either remove the offending section completely (though I think this would be a bit too extreme and ruin the experience) or to add half a minute of silence to the start. Just a black screen and add a notification "please be patient, video will begin shortly".
There was a guy who tested their system with every possible filter and none of them worked - if the sound was audible at all, the video got flagged, for now, this is the only way.Last edit: 2012-01-17 03:09:29 |

Another way would be to re-upload the video after having silenced the audio for the first 30 seconds (potentially also adding an overlay "Audio will resume in 30 sec" text).
If someone wants to do this it'd be fantastic. If not, well, I'm already grateful to people for uploading VODs, I think asking for them to then also be hand-edited is not something I have any right to expect
