z33k presents: 3U cup

As main admins for the 3U cup, we (ArchiTecT and Warpfire) have a sad announcement for all those players that enjoyed playing our events the last six months.
While we had a lot of fun hosting the 3U cup while it lasted, from now on there will be no more 3U cup. The reasons for this are partly the organizational disputes with other (managing) staff within Z33K and partly a lack of funding. We can no longer find motivation to work with people who interfere with the way we run our event. And since most of the funding has been coming out of our own pockets, it does become a financial burden to keep providing cash prizes.

We do want to take this moment to express our faith in the z33k development team, as they do a great job of continuously improving the web-site's functionality, as well as the tools for tournament support. Thank you guys! Without your help it would’ve been hard to build what we did in the last six months.

As can be concluded from the above, all 3U cup events will immediately stop. However, both ArchiTecT and Warpfire will remain active within the eSports scene. You can continue following Warpfire on twitter @sc2warpfire. Feel free to contact ArchiTect through ArchiTecTerran@gmail.com

We’ve been told that in August z33k will be hosting a new series of events for the EU server.

Our developers added the option to select your timezone in your z33k profile. As such, nobody ever has to be confused with the correct timezone anymore.
