Not really necessary to cut fruit IMO. Yes, it's high in sugar, but as long as it's not primarily fructose (favor berries, rather than larger fruits. Blueberries, strawberries, grapes, Raspberries, rather than oranges, bananas, watermelon...) but fruit overall is a decent choice for sugar and carbs compared to most alternatives.
Absolutely cut grains, I can't begin to tell how much better I feel when I'm not eating them. If you have questions about paleo, most of us are at least loosely so, so post away!
How's about I post what I eat each day (or close to it) and you guys can give me some feedback on my diet? I'm trying to lose some weight (around 20 pounds, maybe more, maybe less, depends on what I think about how I look), so I could use some input, especially trying to go paleo.

And here I was thinking I sucked cause you liften a whole of a lot more than I do.
you're like 6-8kg's on me lol :D
I think you both outsquat me and I'm 94kg.
Being tall sucks in the squat rack :D.
I'm 1.93, 80kg's and I squatted 58 (first time squat). God damnit. Long ass way to go beastmode, at least the gym is AWESOME in france. Absolutely totally completely baller stuff. Everybody is into benching, deadlift and squat, afaik with great technique. The guy barks at everybody that doesn't keep their back straight etc. haha.
Alright so after my 58kilo squat I'm checking myself out (because I've become retardedly handsome over the past year), all good all good, making eye contact with the cute pilates girl. She smiles back, her cleavage is porn-esque big, she has the bum you'd wear for a shirt all day any day... So basically she says I look great (in french), I ask her out for the next day, she says yes.
Afterwards the walks up to the squat rack, adds 80kg's to the bar, squats ass to the ground, slams the bar back unto the rack and tells me 'tu es chouette' which means something like 'you're adorable'. I can't think straight right now, will she crush my penis?
lol, I love it!.
hit it like you mean it! :D congrats on the girl catch. Time to go beast mode bro! :D

Update (a few days late cause I was a bit sick and the results wouldn't have been accurate)
I weigh 73.7 kg right now (started at 80 kg 3.5 months ago). Made my goal and I gained some muscles as well. I've kept up my twice a week trainings (I even trained 3 x 1.5h in the last 3 days).
I'm just doing push-ups now as strength training (we do some strength training during running practice but not much) but I don't really like push-ups. I'll try to find some weights to train with to improve my upper body. Should I get some whey protein? I don't need to get super muscular but I guess it won't hurt. I don't want to bulk up too much though, I still need to lose fat.
New goals:
Seth_ Age: 21 || Height: 5'9"/1m76 || Weight: 162.5lb/73.7kg Starting Date: 06/28/11 || Goal Date: 08/05/11 Weight goals -- Lose 2.7 kg / 6 lb. 71 kg seems like a nice weight to stay on; maybe 72 with more muscles. Training goals -- Keep up the 2 times a week of running. I should try to improve my 200 and 400 meter times by 1 or 2 seconds. Do some weights and gain some muscles as well. Nutrition goals -- Keep up my diet. (less soda, barely any chips, candy, cookies...) I'll try to fit in some more chicken, eggs as well... Misc goals -- Don't give up when I seem to not lose anymore weight.
Weight goals are literally 85-90% made in the kitchen.
Adding muscle you definitely need to be lifting heavy weights. Although 400m training is also good.
Pushups are meh if you can do more than 10 need to do a harder variation or just hit up press/bench/dips or something
Squatting with a pair of converse insted of running shoes + all the tips everyone gave me on my video made the squat soo much better.
Felt sore in my adductors, after only squatting 40 5x10 practicing form. Need to stretch my hamstrings and adductors some more, I have been slacking when it comes to stretching
@Dimsum:Wtf are you only 66 kg!? how tall are you? Im 6'1 and 67 kg T . T
@froadac: imo it's better to do it now and get it over with.
Also, a completely unrelated question: How fast are you guys over 100 meters?
Meh, I need to start training 100m again.
I'm probably around 12s which isn't horrible but I'd love to get it down to 11s. 12s is still faster than like 90% of the pop so I guess I can't be too disappointed about that I guess.

Why would you cut fruit intake with paleo?
Paleo at its purest form is just elimination of neolithic foods.... pretty much any processed foods and wheat more or less

Ah, sorry. I didn't mean "cut," I meant reduce. I eat a lot of fruit (5-6 pieces a day).

Probably because he thinks it's paleo prohibits carbs (which it doesn't) and confuses the good kind (vegetables, fruits) with the bad ones (grain and sugar).

That's fine on paleo....
If you had some specific issues with sugar (e.g. diabetes, metabolic syndrome, etc.) then it may be a good idea to go more low carb paleo or ketogenic.
But if you don't have any of those issues it's fine to eat a bunch of fruit on paleo. Beats grains/sodas/whatever else carbs

Well, I'm interested in keto for weight loss. That, coupled with the fact that I have a very addictive personality especially pertaining to foods, and more especially carbohydrates, I think it's a good way to go.

Good lord was this workout hard. I think it is either just killer or I'm starting to get a little sick (been sleeping a lot more lately so I dunno, I think it is that).
Anyways, the squats were one of those lifts where I was like I can't do this - no fuck it I can and made myself I believe I could, and then I did. The Leg press and hammer curls were relatively easy, but I did use a bit of a swing on the hammer curls. Tried to stop it for the most part though.
The lying leg curls were a different story. I felt a slight uh twinge I guess? in my left knee right by the knee cap. Not too sure what it was, or what it meant, but that is why I only did 15 and 12 on the last two sets. The seated curls were also pretty hard and my form may have been slightly off, but I am approaching my "max" so it is understandable. ---
