The Destiny fanclub

Can someone give me a quick explanation of how this guy got so popular? I genuinely don't know and would like to know. I've never heard of him before his stream got featured and all of a sudden he's apparently insanely well known. I don't keep up much with NA/EU tournaments so maybe that's why I'm clueless. :<

wasnt he still pretty known in the community when you posted this? he was a fairly popular streamer in beta IIRC. :/

he hasn't been big in tournaments so far, he is just fun to watch. check out the youtube channel and you should get why people are entertaint by his stream

May be I should tell my story about Destiny.

Some months ago, I found no featured stream of a zerg which was fun to watch, so I browsed the list of nonfeatured streams. I tried out Steve Bonnell's stream and it had both good visual quality but also provided quality play. I tuned in the next days on a regular basis. Still today, when I am in the mood to watch a user stream, I watch Steve Bonnell's stream or VODs if he is not live.

In the infamous SCSyndicate incident, Destiny asked his stream visitors to spam Syndicate's stream channel. Normally you get a full ban for this kind of BS but he survived it barely. I think that he will never do such BS again.

While he shows alot of BM, he has a deep understanding of the game. It was only a question of time that he got approached by clans. Now as he is a member of Root, he can focus entirely on Starcraft.

Anyways, it's time to kick this fan club into overdrive!!

Destiny is sharp and witty enough to pull of his crass style, although he still kind of scares me a bit. Like his 'One more game' clip on the soundboard in the original post. I didn't hear that live, nor have I watched too much of him, so maybe that was completely in jest.

Anyway, nice to see he's making an income off his stream. His popularity has sure exploded after he got featured.

I'm in. Been watching for a while, didn't know their was a thread.

Great play, and I'm an auditory learner for sure, so just listening to the stream while playing, lots of things stick. About when to add supply, hotkeys, tactics, all kinds of stuff. Never realized how much that would help me.
