I do think we should threaten inactives and/or lurkers a bit, though not necessarily lynch them the first day if a better target comes up. This would hopefully get everybody talking more, especially during the short day (~24 hours only), and make it more likely for scum to slip up. Thoughts? Starting with the inactives is probably a good start since the game plays out in more interesting ways with active players. But there's still a modkill option, so I don't really know how much of a threat it is to pick them off early. I will also wait to vote to see if the lynch is a majority vote or a high count.

I think it is the first option....otherwise there could be a lot of wasted time during each day phase if we get a quick majority

On February 12 2011 10:36 Misder wrote: To all those that have played pevergreen's previous games- are there any chars that are assumed scum? Whoa there. Don't know if those are just part of your characters, but you don't have to start accusing people as mafia just because of it. A character and someone's alignment should be completely separate things (at least that's what I think), so no need to jump the gun. Hmm, so far the votes are still looks to be pretty distributed other than Zerroth. Unless something drastic happens within the next 7-8 hours, he will probably be lynched. I guess I'll just vote for someone who is inactive but still have no votes yet. Vote: Insanious

On a side note, I find that a lot of the analyses so far have been personal grudges (maybe not to that extent) from previous games and not necessarily logical according to the rules of this setup.

To me, Zerroth is playing the lurking/inactive style like the last game. It'll be great if it will make him more active but it is like mafia can slip by unnoticed if it stays like this. Also placing a vote to avoid modkill. Vote: LunarGotNoDestiny He made no particular effort to change the lynch which leads me to believe that he didn't know he was linked to zerroth. Considering it took a measly 5 votes to lynch zerroth it doesn't look like mafia (or any other party) made a significant attempt to redirect the lynch. Another point to notice is that there was only 16 real votes placed out of 30, and these were spread out over 11 candidates. This is shockingly bad play. We need to be a lot more united to make any headway in this game, especially considering that there are probably several ~3 person factions with alternative victory conditions. If we allow scum/3rd party to lead the lynch wherever they want we are totally screwed. I know this was day one and there isn't a lot to go on, but we seriously need to pick it up a bit. I've thought about the different alignments for twins as well, but it will be hard to determine anything, other than suspicious play, until the first night is over. The activity so far in this game has come in waves...a whole bunch of posts in a short period and then nothing for a few hours. I'm still curious as to why Coagulation didn't put down a vote. Several players' votes were discounted (late or wrong format) but they at least tried. A second day without votes would mean a modkill, so I'll be looking closely at those people for the second day.

1) lovers were town/mafia - we have 1 mafia faction (1 kill) and at least 1 third party killer (depending on successful saves and roleblocks) 2a) lovers were mafia/mafia - there are 2 mafia factions and uncertain existence of 3rd parties 2b) lovers were mafia/mafia - only kingpin is left and uncertain existence of 3rd parties 3) lovers were town/town - 1 mafia faction and uncertain existence of 3rd parties I have only put down the minimum number of mafia factions that I can think of since having more means that the docs and roleblockers got really lucky with their actions.

It's already been a full day/night cycle and we still don't have too many clues as to who is mafia. Just wondering, how come it seems like I'm being ignored/left out of the conversation?

He votes for Csargo) Romanic (analyzer) atheotes (always mafia. Always) Secura (Beskars friend) Theres a few more I cannot think of right now, or players who are not regular anymore (like Kommodus) Vote: gryffindor Seems to be the best out of small option I have. TinCow is Ace, so he's dead. Also, looking at the list of players at the .org databasedatabase, several people on your list don't want to get invited to games anymore (beefy, GeneralHandkerchief, Sasaki, TinCow). I've been doing a poor job at playing my role, but how could you act as someone who's on an unlucky streak?

The last day hit happened near the end of the cycle, so we'll probably have to wait a few more hours to see what turns up. I think that if pever posts it up as soon as he gets the PM, then it could reveal something like the location/time zone of the killer. My hypotheses about the extra night kill - did we somehow get lucky and got both grunts? So, assuming the lovers were town/mafia, we took care of one grunt on the first day. So then mafia had 1 kill and a 3rd party had another. Then one of the following - the Misder lynch, the kitaman daykill, or the 5 modkills - killed the second grunt. I don't think the modkills could include a mafia grunt since that happened at the same time as the 3 night kills, but I'm just bringing up the possibilities. Now we have the GF having 2 kills for himself and the 3rd party is still around. There hasn't been too much activity outside of the really active players, so I don't have a good read on the others. Guess I'll jump on the bandwagon too. Vote: GGQ
