OK, this is going to be pretty complicated, so bear with me. After Matches A and B are played, the winners of those matches play the loser. After that happens, there are 3 possibilities that can happen.
Possibility A: The group now has players with these records: 2-0, 2-0, 0-2, 0-2. At this point, the players who are 2-0 play each other to determine seeding in the Ro16, and the players who are 0-2 play each other to determine placement in the up/down (Code S / Code A) matches.
Possibility B: The group now has players with these records: 2-0, 1-1, 1-1, 0-2. At this point, the player with 2-0 does not need to play any more matches. He is first in the group. Likewise, Mr. 0-2 is done. He is in 4th place in the group. The two players who are 1-1 play against each other again to determine who takes 2nd and who takes 3rd in the group.
Possibility C: The group now has players with these records: 1-1, 1-1, 1-1, 1-1. Whoever has not played each other play. The winner of that match advances and the loser is eliminated.
Group A 1. MC 2-0 ► Advances to Ro16 2. July 2-1 ► Advances to Ro16 3. MVP 1-2 ► falls to up/down matches 4. Hyperdub 0-2 ► falls to up/down matches
Group D 1. NaDa 3-0 ► Advances to Ro16 2. HongUn 2-1 ► Advances to Ro16 3. TOP 1-2 ► falls to up/down matches 4. TheBest 0-3 ► falls to up/down matches
Looking fucking good, at this rate in one more season we'll have only great players in Code S, while cheesers will battle it out in Code A. The amount of alliners is even lower this season than last, so we should see some nice games from phase 1. I love this!!
BTW thx for thread, so nice.

it might be worth noting that some of the Blizzard maps in the map pool have been modified by GOM
Modification on Blizzard maps for the league GomTV modified Metalopolis, Xel'Naga Caverns, Lost Temple for their league. Bloking the entrance with two bunkers is no longer possible.

He's been back in Germany for a while now, so he can't play in GSL.
Apparently korea did not fit him well and he also got an hand injury during then i believe. Its a real shame since he only needs to qualify for GSL3 to be code S. sigh...
