Hi Teamliquid, i'm Benji, one of the top Casters from the SEA server.
Recently i've been creating a few instructional videos to help players improve their unit control and effectiveness of their army. There are currently videos for Protoss and Zerg and they focus mainly on Forcefield and Baneling usage, however they also go into some other subjects.
Videos:
Protoss:
Zerg:
*NEW* Terran:
Please provide constructive feedback! Also if you have any ideas for more videos I am more than happy to listen. Also if you like the videos please subscribe!
All these tips make sense to me, the only problem I've got is that they aren't map specific. More often than not, as Zerg, you won't have to opportunity to attack from so many angles. Even the first engagement went much better than it should have when you a-moved the roaches because most maps don't provide such a nice area to get a concave like that.
So, other than not using ladder maps to demonstrate these techniques in common areas where combat takes place, I think you did a very good job. You could expand on these videos by demonstrating transfusion with small groups of roaches or using them on spine crawlers while defending. Or using burrow on your roaches, etc.

Thanks for the feedback, and yes they aren't map specific but the idea is to just give you a general idea. Perhaps i'll look at making a few videos to demonstrate these techniques on ladder maps. I used the map simply because it allows you to create these armies very quickly.
Transfusion is a good idea, I might give that a go, and Burrow i wanted to do however the map we used had Burrow disabled for some reason. (I wanted to use burrow move on the mech army)
Nice video! Subscribed, please do more related to Protoss haha ;P I've been doing decent force fields but to be honest I never really knew where it would be most effective.
I was in a slump after losing 6 straight games, and per my normal routine ventured onto TL to find a way to right my wrongs. I'm a platinum random player and am now starting to be matched against diamonds.
I made army effectiveness my mantra after watching these and rejoined the ladder for some more games. I'm happy to report out of the next 10 games, I won 7. Solid instructional video for those of us that are visual learners.
There is always information to be gleaned from pro level matches, but it's instructional content like this that has improved my play by noticeable leaps and bounds. Keep up the good work!
nice videos, brother. while i knew the micro tactics you were pointing out, it was nice to see an example in game to show how much of an impact doing these things will actually have. it's easy to ignore doing ff's etc while you're playing and just kind of shrug it off even though you know you should. this goes to show how bad of a decision that actually is. great job.
Great job in terms of casting, love your voice and style. In terms of content it's relatively basic but its an easy way to show it in terms of the black and white "with micro" and "without micro". I watched the protoss one though and I know what you were trying to show but don't talk about forcefielding hydras to stop them retreating when they're off creep. They're so slow anyway that forcefielding them is a waste when you can simply catch up to them.

You are 100% correct, I only mentioned it because in another situation, perhaps when its pure roach, it would help. The ideas are just general ideas to get people thinking in a correct mindset. Thanks for the feedback tho!
heh i just watched the zerg video, and i was quite sceptical about any new stuff you could have there.. but i gotta admit this is a really well made video with nice info. i ll check out the other vids aswell and bump this because this is definately worth watching

Do you mean from 1 game, or just me taking clips from various replays?
