| There is an achievement and icon for accomplishing this feat. I have been trying it and its quite difficult. Does anyone have tips for doing this? Does anyone know what maps work (does it have to be blizzard? melee only? custom?) |

| Play on Lava Flow. You should be terran and the other 7 opponents should be Zerg. As soon as the game starts, lift off and go to the island closest to you. Send one SCV to the other side and build a CC close to the other island as soon as you can. As soon as the CC is done lift it and go to the other island. After that just macro up and rush to BCs and MAX out your army with BCs. It's actually a pretty easy achievement. Haha thats so much easier than trying to play a macro game vs 7 computers with unlimited money on 1 base.
Lasted pretty long with a MMM/Tank army (surprisingly high efficiency vs no micro computers) but when my main ran out of money and my 2nd was starting to run dry... things went downhill fast.
I'll try that lava flow strat, thanks guys. |

Thats the easiest way to do it because there are 2 expands. I did it on Extinction, where you only had one expand, but same strat.
Make all the AIs toss too, alot easier. |

| As stated already, lava flow is best because of the 2 expands per island. I had the most success double expanding to the other island (so I was on four base) before getting any units and then massing battlecruisers with 3/3. Last edit: 2011-03-05 09:36:58 |

Exactly this (make sure you upgrade the BCs too). If you make the AIs Zerg and put up like 5 spread out turrets, they pretty much won't bother you and kill off one another. Then just kill off the last one  Last edit: 2011-03-05 10:22:46 |

| I got really lucky when I tried this. I just played standard on some random 8 player map. I didn't even realize how quickly insane computers could build up at the time. I remember having maybe just 2 marines when the first "has surrendered, do you accept" message popped up. The computers wiped each other out. I pretty much only had to kill two zergs at the end. No one attacked me ever. The two zergs pretty much just suicided a bunch of times into my pfort/tank lines. |

| Personally I did this on toxic slums, standard lift off + expand at the other island, get ~10 3/3 thors and slowly clear the map with scv support. You should be able to do it without losing a single thor. |

You don't necessarily have to do this with terran, I did with protoss forge first, 2 cannons on ramp into gate cyber robo, dropship, expand to island, mass carriers with mothership. Main did get killed after a while but I had lifted all the probes to the islands by then.
Should be easy with zerg too because the AI doesn't defend buildings in base trade situations so you can snipe everything with mutas |

@whiteLotus: No it works just tried it yesterday, they get a billion zealots and immortals and some void rays.
I even beat them while three of them were still alive!

| You can also do this on abyss as toss just go forge first block off you nat with a few cannons take your expo and go mass vrs best to do this against all toss though as mass voids kinda rule vs the ai's who all try going colossus and things and if any go air then doesnt matter as you should have a pure air army to deal with them |

| The toss chooses a random strategy and goes with it. In your case you were unfortunate and the toss chose templar. However, choosing zerg as your opponent is a more consistent choice because the zerg AI will most of the time go mass roach and a couple hydras, and the zerg AI never goes mass corruptor. |

| i found it quite easy to set up loads of cannons at my natural then massed up voidrays, and the above post about zerg opponents is correct, mostly roach and a few hydra, not making them very effective against voids |
