People here can't tell what skill is if it hit them in the face ... MC may very well win , but i don't think it will be because of some huge skill gap between them , but because PvZ meta game and balance right now is slightly in P's favour .Last edit: 2011-03-09 02:53:35 |

| Just watched the july nada series, amazing. it was like july giving us a tour of the history of zerg play in sc2 so far, i'd like to see him develop higher tech play, maybe he'll write that chapter. |

I think the reason for so few thors from nada is because of how many banelings july was getting. If you are getting thors you can't get tanks, and then the lings and blings will just roll whats left. I dont know how well that style from july will hold up against mech play though.
Regardless, absolutely amazing games, some of my favorite of all SC2 so far. GO JULY!! |

Damnnnnn,
I voted NaDa, but July is just ripping heads off! I hope his ZvP is as good as his ZvT, b/c he may face Ps in his next 2 rounds. |

Splitting marines well enough is all that is needed for banes after the first few tank shots.
What was killing him was the muta clean up.
Besides, theres a good chance july might of a-moved banes into thors. |

Just finished watching the Nada vs July series and it was really awesome. One thing I don't understand though is why Nada didn't make any single drop. Thought it was pretty effective in that kind of situations (harass expands for example) ... Any idea for that ? |

I dunno, doing drops with a flock of mutas on the map is pretty risky, isn't it? Especially since you'd need a drop capable of fighting off a flock of 42 mutas that would no doubt arrive almost immediately after you land. |

Drops are ineffective against zergs once they manage to gather a good amount of mutas. Even tough you kill some drones you eventually end losing ur medivac full of units. There is no safe way to harass a zerg during mid game, the best option is to just slowly advance forward with tanks and turrets while expanding.Last edit: 2011-03-09 04:25:47 |

Yeah sure, once there is a billion mutas on the field, that's probably less effective But before ? Ganzi and Jjob used drops very effectively against Ret and Haypro. Not saying it's a mistake or anything, it just seemed weird to me when I watched the games |

OMG GO JULY AND LEENOCK!
My Zerg heroes heroing it up. I like Ret and Idra but they don't seem to play how Zerg needs to be played at this time i feel but rather how they want it to be played, and it's not working.
July and Leenock are making it work. True pioneers are Real Korean Heroes.
July has never lost a Bo5 series to a protoss in BW . It has to be good to at least challenge MC . |

I don't think July would have A moved the banelings into thors. He didn't do it into the tanks so I don't see him doing it too thors unless he was that far ahead |

kind of disappointing play by nada, aside from some truly genius moments. idk, maybe i'm expecting to much out of him, but he is nada =x
anyways, july is pretty scary |

| was an amazing series, and I'm a big nada fan but July deserved the win. Nada played really great as well but I think he just needs to do better with his siege tank play. Everything else was so smart and solid, but even last season ( vs MKP) he had some issues with his tanks in high pressure situations. its definitely one of the hardest things to get off cleanly since they take so damn long to siege but yeah if he had done better with that he would have won the series. |

It's not just skill. It's a style mismatch. Have you seen how MC punishes aggressive Zergs? It's brutal, really brutal. Seriously, it's so much easier to be influenced by Artosis and Tasteless than to actually analyze it yourself. And if people are really objective, they'll know that MC will beat July for the 3rd time if they ever meet in the finals. July's only chance if that Amulet change goes live before the finals so that his muta/ling strat would become stronger. |
