This movie will probably blow avengers out of the water. It will very likely have a far superior plot.
Plot has nothing to do with how much a movie will make.
I didn't mean in terms of box office. I mean't in terms of being an all around better movie. Box office doesn't really mean much, many good movies didn't do well at the box office while overhyped movies did.

Avengers was a Spectacle, a well done spectacle, but still a spectacle. Compared to the Dark Knight, it's just another summer popcorn muncher.
TDK: Rises, however, looks like just another spectacle as well. On it's own merits, the trailers I've seen look to bill it as just another summer movie. so we'll see.

I think Batman Begins is slightly better than the Dark Knight (obviously just my opinion). What I loved about Batman Begins was that it was realistic -- or at least as realistic as a movie about a dude that fights crime as a bat can be. While TDK had a much better villan, the gadgets just got a little too goofy for me. I know gadgets are Batman's thing, but it started to toe that line of ridiculousness at one point. So in my opinion, TDK was actually a little more Hollywood than Batman Begins.
I love both of them -- and will argue that they're the best superhero movies ever made -- but Batman Begins fits my tastes a little more.

My gf got us 2 tickets for a "batman tripple" in a cinema near us :D Batman Begins + The Dark Knight + The Dark knight rises (a little before the official release in germany :D) So happy and excited for this movie

Itll be the last Batman movie with Nolan. I am sure that there is already a reboot planned for a new Batman set of movies.
I'm glad it is. I'd much rather see Nolan and his brother use their creative talents on non-batman works (case and point: inception, prestige, memento).
Plus, history has shown that any attempts to continue a series after a trilogy has ended end up being steaming piles of shit: star wars, indiana jones, terminator.
