Sage after a GSL Code A win: I have fun reading the strategies posted in the strategy forum in a community site. I heard that there's a foreign player, White-Ra, who uses 8 DT drops to destroy hatcheries. So I kept watching White-Ra's live streams but he didn't use it once. So it's a build that is optimized through me. I used builds that are akin to this, but I conceived today's build from White-Ra's build. But I've never seen him use this build.

Aleksey Krupnyk, better known globally as White-Ra, is an Ukranian Protoss player, that has been around ever since the dawn of time or Starcraft and Starcraft Brood War back in 1998 and 1999, ever since he has been owning nerds left and right.
He played random for a while, until 2003 came along, he won WCG Ukraine with Protoss and has played it ever since, becoming one of the most amazing protoss players around the world.
His Brood War career is just amazing, placing first in many WCG Ukraine finals, ('03, '06, '07 and '09) and also getting 4th place in the WCG Grand Finals in 2007.
Some interesting facts about his BW career are:
He lost he lost the ESL major series final against Mondragon due to being drunk after getting his diploma in school.
Gained a lot of popularity in China ever since his attendance in the PGL tournament. His nickname in Chinese is 白大媽 which translates into "White Nal_rA" given the similarities of their ID's and that his unpredictable and cheesy playstyle was reminiscent of those of Nal_rA's.
When Starcraft 2 beta keys where out, he got his hands on one and started playing, He got invited to the HDH Invitational, for those of you who don't know he had an amazing series in the finals vs IdrA where in a close game 6 with the series at a 3-2 advantage for White-Ra IdrA went for a very risky zergling run-by where White-Ra as I quote Husky, "He put every zealot in the right place, if one pixel was out of place the lings would've surrounded the zealots and the game would've been over". After his success he was invited to Day9's King of the Beta where he placed 3rd in his group and did not advance to the Ro4.
Then Starcraft 2 came out and did not have to good tournament results for a while, though he did get invited to the IEM Season V where he sadly did not advance to the group stages.
When BlizzCon 2010 came along White-Ra got invited and that's when it got real, beating Dimage in the 3rd place match with some very sexy Blink micro.
Then after we were already even more in love with White-Ra it was time for his best weekend in Starcraft 2, winning 3 tournaments in a 4 day spawn, Homestory Cup II, SC Reddit Invitational, and then the Root's Gaming WARZONE.
White-Ra then defeated Socke and MaNa to get a spot in the World All-Star Team for the showmatch Korea vs The World, where Special Tactics came into play with some of the best Warp Prism micro to take down the korean beast of MC.
He would play MC again in the TSL 3 Ro16 coming of a win against Loner, though MC would beat him 3-0.
Later in the DreamHack Stockholm Invitational these 2 amazing Protoss players would face of in the finals, with White-Ra getting a very and almost definitive 2-0 lead in a Bo5, MC played not the most standard games but he got the 3 wins he needed, and left White-Ra in 2nd place.
White-Ra would later apply for a spot in the North American Star League, where he would be placed in Division 2, he would later go 6-3 and get a spot in the Championship Bracket where he would lose to Dignitas' very own SeleCT.
White-Ra then would go and play in the MLG Anaheim Open Bracket, he would advance to Round 2 but due to showing up late to his match vs a player by the name of Gimix he would be sent down to the Lower Bracket, where he would destroy players left and right, eventually he would face Gimix his opponent of the Winner's Bracket, Gimix being awesome, does a worker rush the first 2 games to even up the series due to MLG's extended series rule, the series would become 2-2 to make it a fair Bo3, which White-Ra won 2-0 (4-2) making Gimix a very lucky player offering to practice some time. White-Ra would go on to the Championship Bracket where he would go deep, but falling 1-2 to SeleCT, again
Then White-Ra would play in the IPL Season 2 Qualifier 3, that he would end up in 2nd place granting him a spot in the IPL Season 2, White-Rathen would roflstomp the competition there being coming close to a possible defeat against who other than SeleCT, but this time our hero Aleksey Krupnyk would be the one stopping SeleCT's journey, 2-1 victory. White-Ra would then defeat MaNa in the Winner's Bracket Finals, and then beating Nerchio in the IPL Season 2 Grand Finals, 3-1. This is White-Ra's most recent major tournament win since Homestory Cup II.
White-Ra after his win of the IPL Season 2 was invited to participate in the IPL 3 in Cesar's Palace to play with the likes of IdrA, BoxeR, MC, TheStC and Ret, he played amazingly showing amazing special tactics vs MMA, but ultimately losing to PuMa, leaving the game with some controversy. Aleksey would also be invited to the MLG Global Invitational Europe, were he would defeat the likes of Ret Jinro, SaSe, and is in currently waiting an opponent in the Grand Final.
So many other non-tournament related stuff has happened, he is now sponsored by Playhem, he would have his very own t-shirts on sale, have a team, and still be awesome enough to compete in MLG Orlando...
At Orlando he faced again the fearsome Open Bracket, this time he did not get disqualified from being late, he would just encounter a hard wall named Stephano he would fall 1-2 after a 1-0 lead, still White-Ra's journey was not over, he would again go through the Loser's Bracket and defeat sycknesS 2-0 to make it to the Championship Bracket. Sadly White-Ra would not get a chance to play on sunday since Inori an up and coming Protoss player well known for defeating non-other than MC, would take the series 2-0, leaving White-Ra in 32nd place overall and with a bittersweet, flavor leaving Orlando.
Before Orlando took place White-Ra had being playing in the NASL Season 2, in Division 1 with the likes of DeMusliM, HerO, Sheth, Fenix and many more players, he would them turn out to have a really bad season, going 1-4 by the time of week 6, only taking a series of ViBE.
What's next? Only Aleksey knows, living in Ukraine with his wife, a wife that knows that his husband plays cybersports internationally, we can only hope for the best.

Why you never wall off playing against zerg? If zerg see that you don't have wall he may produce 6-8 zerglings instead of drones, thus weakening his economy. To defend it you should save 3rd chronoboost before scout your opponent. If you see lings, build fast zealot and defend with your probes using micro. Or after scout lings coming, you may in time build wall, before they reach your base. That's why usually I don't build wall. However sometimes I can build it.
Why don't you use health bars? It's a habit from BW. Too many information may distract you.
Do you have work beside being pro gamer? Yes, I write articles for Russian gaming magazine.
How much do you practice during a day? 6 hours per day at the average. I think 25 games per day is enough, sometimes I play more.
What mouse/keyboard do you use? Mouse: Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS black Keyboard: Tt eSPORTS G1
How you prepare to important game? I try to find replays of my opponent and prepare special build order to counter his style. Or I use defensive style and play very cautiously.
Why you chose to play Protoss? Prior to 2003 I played random. At WCG 2003 I played a lot of random matches and most of times it were uncomfortable matchups for me. Playing protoss I gained more stable success. Therefore after WCG 2003 I decided to play protoss. In SC2 I decided not to change my race.
How much long you plan to stay a pro gamer? Maybe 1 year or little more. It depends on how much good results I will show, and how much support I will receive from community.
