Hello. First of all I apologise if there is a similar thread (I searched and couldn't find any like this). Now..
While streaming Starcraft 2 I get an odd issue with my screen flickering black, and incredibly low quality. I recorded a quick video to demonstrate which is located here:

The audio quality seems to be fine but the visuals are horrific to say the least. I suspected it was my internet (due to suffering horrific bouts of lag while ingame) and so did a speedtest while playing/streaming and one while not streaming. Results are here:

Then to compare I ran a stream while doing a non-strenuous activity (in this case drawing smiley faces in paint) and recorded that. This on the contrary seems to be running quite fine.

My PC specs are: AMD Phenom II X4 3.14ghz 4GB Corsair 1333mhz RAM Nvidia Geforce 9500gt 1tb Samsung HDD (7200rpm)
My Xsplit streaming specs are: Resolution: 640x480 Quality: 6 Bitrate: 1000kbps Buffer size: 2000
I'm really unsure as to what/why these problems are. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you very much

As for as a know you have 340 kbps upload and are trying to stream at 1000kbps which would cause problems. Although I might be wrong.
|
Thank you ^____^ that helped a little bit with the ingame lag but I'm still getting the really bad screen flicker and bad quality of video,
Evidence video is here http://www.justin.tv/terasc/b/283182373 The black flicker is still there as well.
Edit: This video is with bitrate lowered to 200kbps

I didn't notice any flicker until you put it into fullscreen.
Try the windowed (fullscreen) option ( I use this setting), that might help.

The black flicker is due to fullscreen. If you want to play under fullscreen you indeed need to use fullscreen (windowed).
WestTyrant is also correct about you're upload speed. I don't know if there is a minimum threshold or anything in regards to how much your upload needs to be to stream (I only just got my stream working yesterday), but in either cause that would cause the in game lag.
If the stuttering is on your end, ie the game itself is stuttering while you play, that's a whole different issue entirely which if I remember correctly would probably point to a processor issue

from your pics you have .34mbit (340bitrate) upload and are trying to upload 1mbit (1000bitrate). You have a maximum streaming capability of 340bitrate between audio and video, and starcraft 2 will require 10 or 20 if not more. This is definitely causing you problems, I feel if you wish to stream you're going to have to get better internet with much more upload, even 1mbit is cutting it.

Okay thank you for your feedback. I should've pointed out the video I linked in the second post on this thread I had lowered my bitrate to 200kbps to test. The stuttering in the video is not effecting me ingame, (I usually get around 30-60 fps ingame) it's always on the video end of streaming.
I'll look into getting better internet but I think it's a regional thing we're supposedly paying for 20mb internet at the moment but we're by no means receiving it. Thank you all again for your feedback and I will try messing around with settings etc.

Is there a way to fix that flickering without having to use Windowed Fullscreen? Since obviously I think people would want to avoid that since it taxes your PC just a little harder.
