I used the same strategy as Elodius, and it worked great for finishing it solo. For someone who doesn't want to download it, I'll write out the general strategy:
Salvage initial bunkers, move rax and factory to chokes to wall. Build one bunker on each of the high grounds (2 for each choke) and a third on each side between the rax/factory as money allows.
Build marines and vultures, and nothing else (except upgrades). Don't add any extra raxes or factories yet. As your minerals get high, you can start making PFs on the northeast choke (blocked by debris). At some point, make
Your first biomass purchase should be tanks, and at that point you can pretty much stop vulture/marine production and move into straight tanks.
Your primary anti-spotter is turrets, so spam them everywhere on the high ground, as space and money permits. Also add some turrets and a bunker behind your mineral line.
Eventually you will get supply blocked if you're solo (you can only go to 200), at which point you should cover as much of possible of the inside area of your base with perdition turrets. Just spam the hell out of them. Try to leave a hole in a good spot in range of all your tanks, because if you have everything else covered, that's where the nydus will probably spawn.
Yeah ive been trying to solo to wave 15 also, I got the wave 10 one pretty easily .... I'll check out that replay later thanks, but yeah how you wrote out is similar to what I did,...solo you pretty much have to get a ton of PF's,,, except I went medics first
alright yeah did it again, got to 47 mins, like the 17th wave I think... Those perdition turrets are key though. I block off in the begining like that replay but I swap it out later for PF's I dont see how anyone could get further solo than around 47 mins lol if you do post a replay.
I almost did the "Finish Brutal before 5th Night" solo, but didnt have the stamina to perfect my strategy, since i already did the achievement with a mate. Would love to see anyone do it solo? At my current state, i take too long to kill everything at day, there is like almost one camp left at the 4th.
1. Sent all of my SCVs to one mineral line 2. Got the building armor upgrade immediately (If you don't get this your buildings will die to regular zombies) 3. You only need the infantry weapon upgrade because your marines will be in bunkers 4. Sent one of my Command Centers to one choke and built other one in the other choke 5. Upgraded both Command Centers into PFs and built bunkers to create a wall 6. Got the bunker upgrade with Biomass 7. Built bunkers on the high ground to deal with Kaboomers 8. Built another Command Center at my other mineral line 9. Upgrade both mining bases to PFs because Hunterlings will kill all of your SCVs if you don't 10. Add turrets to deal with Spotters (Goliaths are actually better but I didn't get them) 11. Start building PFs at the other chokes that are going to get broken down 12. Get tanks, upgrade vehicle weapons and fortify your chokes with Tanks 13. Build turrets and a bunker at both mineral lines to protect your SCVs from Spotters 14. Spam PFs in your base and replace your bunkers on the low ground with PFs in order to take care of Nydus Worms 15. If a Stank is about to attack just pull SCVs and repair the PF it ends up attacking 16. I ended up dying on wave 16 or 17
I may have skimmed over it, but has anyone done Here Comes the Hammer solo? I would imagine it's possible just like Night 2 Die, just somewhat more multi-tasking taxing.

Everyone did it solo, even my mum. Best advice: Just don't go afk, especially not in the beginning.

After quite a bit of trial and error, a friend and I got to wave 18 and lost to some really stupid mistakes (losing a PF to a stank, not having enough anti air for mass spotters). We had tons of money built up, if we just kept enough repair SCVs near the PF and spammed more turrets and gotten some more goliaths out, I think we could have kept going until the vespene geyser runs out..
if you find a better time like this let me know it

I heard someone was able to survive long enough for the game to crash, consistently.
