Brude Wartress SE: Bounds: 172x178. Bases: 14 8M2G, 2 6HYM2G

I am planning to put rocks at one of the side ramps into the naturals, but I'm not exactly sure which one.
Poll: Where should the rocks go?Left/Right Nats (2) 40% Bottom/Top Nats (1) 20% ALL OF THE NATS (1) 20% None of the nats. (1) 20% 5 total votes Your vote: Where should the rocks go? (Vote): Bottom/Top Nats (Vote): Left/Right Nats (Vote): ALL OF THE NATS (Vote): None of the nats.
Old post: + Show Spoiler +Brude Wartress is a 2v2 map I have recently created, and the first I am posting on teamliquid, so I am somewhat inexperienced at this. I only have one picture. The map is published on the North American Server. Size: 200x200 + Show Spoiler +http://i.imgur.com/oCwll.jpg The mains are the 7'o clock position and the 1'o clock position. Info: + Show Spoiler +Total number of bases: 22, but 4 count as half of a base, so really 20. Number of gold bases: 2 Number of Xel'Naga watch towers: 10 Interesting features: + Show Spoiler +The bases in the upper left and bottom right have interesting attack terrain that make it difficult to defend with just a few units. The highground paths through the map are unbuildable. Instead of one giant ramp in the main bases, I've elected to have two normal size ramps leading into the natural. Just above the main bases is a base blocked off by rocks that has 12 mineral patches and 2 geysers. Two side entrances to this are possible, which are blocked off by rocks. Changelog: + Show Spoiler +Cool Shots: + Show Spoiler +Issues: + Show Spoiler +The rocks in the side ramps leading into back base can be completely ignored. Even immortals can walk through it. One of the mains takes 4 workers to optimally mine one of the geysers, the other geysers on the map take three. Last edit: 2012-02-20 07:18:32 |

Don't apologize, we are all playing with our favorite toy... Need help? + Show Spoiler +There are functions on tl, right above the window where you type your post, these allow for most of what you might need to showcase Add picture: Link to upload a picture so it is seen (and doesn't remain a url): click and paste your imgur url in it when the new window appears, it will showcase your picture, do go into your profile (top left of tl interface) after pasting your picture(s) to toggle the "resize your pictures automatically", alternatively just make pictures 5/7 inches (15/17) cm and 80/100 pixel/inch. Extra pictures: eye candy done by getting extra pictures from your editor version or ingame, it gets more poster to react (feeling more involved), your cp should allow for screenshots (whatever the shortcut required) and in sc2 it's some variation of control s. OP: you can spoiler text and pictures by selecting the content you wish and clicking/toggling the "spoiler" button ( + Show Spoiler +like when players want to comment a recent result and not spoil it for people who have not heard these results) , this feature allows you to shape your op, allowing for a hierarchy you "impose" on the reader, not too subtly stressing what wish to convey most: basic info: number of playerss/realm published features: what you really "got out of it" changelog: + Show Spoiler +details/vanity shots: + Show Spoiler +pictures with satire and/or for your own work caveats: + Show Spoiler +possible issues problems or stuff you wish to convey that needs discussion etc
i'm more into constrasted scenery myself (+ Show Spoiler +boy izatanunderstatement ) but i do relish in the scottish moor feel to it. |

ingame screenshots: just go into sc2, go to the "options" with esc then hotkeys/global/ui to find the proper hotkey for your cp (on eu mac with an eglish version it says F13) then you have to "surf" to get it in your own cp something like user(your "session")/ library/application support/Blizzard/screenshots sorry that's for mac and i bet you're on a pc? + Show Spoiler +couldn't resist: ![[image loading]](http://www.cacaouete.net/tl/006screenshot.jpg) |

just go in hotkeys/... and click screenshots, add a second (extra) value(like a number from the panel(not any one who would be in use...) bliz will ask you to create a profile, just do and then it works.. just tried it. |

| Why don't you put rocks on the non-close ramps, so that both nats effectively have one entrance (the close-facing ramps) |

That would effectively make it incredibly difficult to hold either natural, because you are defending 2 entrances on opposite sides of the map and the path is really long between them. Basically, a 2 pronged attack would be insanely hard to defend from the naturals. EDIT: misread that. Um, in that case, defending the nats might be too easy. I could open that entrance up a bit I suppose.

He's playing obs right now, I'll ask him later.Last edit: 2012-02-20 06:01:05 |
